Fighting is Magic: Exposed – A Response

Hello, to preface, while this post will be public, but we will not be announcing it anywhere. As referenced in Section 8 of our Terms of Service, you must hold WindowsLogic Productions harmless. As these individuals have been using our services to create allegations against us, they have more or less accepted the agreements of our terms of service.

If you do not care about petty drama, then you can skip this post and continue on with your day.

This post is a continuation of the last post of this nature. In this post we will be addressing the response by these individuals about Fighting is Magic: Aurora 1.15 & The Future Of Fighting is Magic, but will not be mentioning anything outside of company dealings.

Copyright & Use Of Fair Dealing In Copyright

“The answer to the question above would be that we have already slowly wrapped it all up since the discontinuation of report updates, and as such we will continue on that path into working towards a hiatus to persue better opportunities in life. Part of the reason is to ensure the safety of our team members from getting doxxed and harassed. The legality of the copyright takedown notices continue to be ambiguous as we stand by our earlier statement that the report falls under “Fair Dealing” under the copyright law of the United Kingdom”

So, let’s start off with the doxing and harassment of your team members. WindowsLogic Productions has never doxxed or harassed any of these individuals team members, but we know who these individuals are and the team members are because you make it obvious. In terms of your lack of understanding for copyright abuse, we reserve the right to take down your report due to it using full works (original artworks and user interfaces). We have this power over our copyrighted assets which you still fail to recognise as original works, even though they did not exist before we made them. Our take-downs are not “ambiguous” as we state what you’re using in your report. Your earlier statement about “Fair Dealing” is not valid due to your posts and reports being of harmful nature, containing manipulative text and slander.

“Certain exceptions only apply if the use of the work is a ‘fair dealing’. For example, the exceptions relating to research and private study, criticism or review, or news reporting.

‘Fair dealing’ is a legal term used to establish whether a use of copyright material is lawful or whether it infringes copyright. There is no statutory definition of fair dealing – it will always be a matter of fact, degree and impression in each case. The question to be asked is: how would a fair-minded and honest person have dealt with the work?” – GOV.UK Copyright Fair Dealing

You cannot use “Fair Dealing” to get around using our works in a non-constructive manner, your report is not a critique of our services or the individuals in our company. You do not think honestly about using our assets in your work; you use it as a guise to continue your harmful behaviour, therefore Fair Dealing is off the table. Furthermore, you cannot use GOV.UK as a reference for your work as you are creating this work in the United States.

Are You Supporting An Unethical Company?

“So, if the couple continues to be stubborn, it is what it is. Just have it etched into the brain that you will be playing a game created by unethical means and through drama. This includes harassment, art theft, arrogance and more. To sum it all up, we are disappointed.”

Short answer, no. We do not do any unethical activities behind the scenes and are very open with everything we do as a company. We support transgender individuals, the LGBTQIA+ community, other game development teams and single developers and disabilities of all natures behind the scenes. We are first and foremost a game development and media company and we do not want to detract from that as our main focus so we prefer to support these individuals and teams behind the scenes. Is this unethical activity?

You will be playing a game made with the intention of passion and hard work. We take pride in developing games and thank all the support we get through either purchases of our merchandise or just a friendly interaction.

We do not harass anyone, this is a fabrication. Harassment is a serious offense and we strive to be a legal-facing company.

As stated in our previous post of this topic, we do not steal art and all art for games are done on a commission basis where the artists get paid fairly, why would we steal art when we have several talented artists? This is an absurd statement to make, especially for our original intellectual properties.

Why Are We Still Supporting Fighting is Magic After 15 Years?

“As Aurora has recently been announced to be ‘kept maintained and updated until further notice or till the end of support due to newer operating systems or incompatibilities with newer systems’, we are confident that as far as the developers are concerned, they are making it more difficult for themselves to let go of this 15 year old game, build on the long outdated 2D Fighter Maker 2002 engine. This reinforces our belief that they survive off Fighting is Magic, support themselves with Fighting is Magic, and ultimately die with Fighting is Magic. It does not sound like the life we want, which is why we are going to pursue much better hobbies and life opportunities. Sucks to cling onto dear Fighting is Magic for so long they lived long enough to see themselves become the villains.”

Is supporting a game with a big community a bad thing? These individuals seem to think so for some reason. These individuals have twisted what we said in the post they are referring to, in the post we clearly stated:

“MorningStar and both of the build archives will be kept maintained and updated until further notice or until we cannot support them anymore due to newer operating systems or incompatibilities with newer systems.”

MorningStar is a seperate project for 2D Fighter Maker 95/2nd. netplay for all games made with those two engines, not just Fighting is Magic: Aurora. The build archives are a system we fully developed separate from the 2D Fighter Maker 2nd. engine and is fully updated using the most recent version of Visual Studio that Microsoft provides. It is secure and reliable, built on a modern system. The incompatibilities come when you realise that the engine the game is based on will not run on operating systems in the future, this has nothing to do with systems we’ve built.

Correction: We have other projects, one of which you have even referenced yourself in this post. It’s more safer to say that the Town Girls intellectual property is what we “survive” off or is “our life”. Fighting is Magic has always been secondary to what we mainly do, it is and always has been a passion project which we wanted to extend by making physical merchandise which we can legally do by way of using original art and products. Are we going to die with Fighting is Magic? Probably not. By the time we’ve finished Town Girls, Aurora will most likely not even run on operating systems, we will therefore discontinue it and shut down everything related, only keeping around various products and services which run without the need of the 2D Fighter Maker 2nd. engine.

These individuals have made us villains by spreading slander about our company, these individuals created the drama, these individuals are the drama.

So in conclusion, we are supporting Fighting is Magic due to the community formed around the game, if the community became non-existent, we would stop supporting the game which is reasonable from any game company.

We’re a disservice to the Autistic Community?

“We are even more disappointed that the WindowsLogic couple is doing a disservice to the autistic rights movement and the broader neurodiversity community by using their autism spectrum disorder and other mental disabilities as poor excuses for their despicable behaviour. We truly tried to be as respectful as possible, but we fail to see how they are helping themselves to become more inclusive of others. We do not wish to cross the line towards ableism.”

This quote is quite literally ablest… We support people from all walks of life and donate to various charities behind the scenes which deal with mental disabilities, including Autism. Are we a disservice to these communities by donating to their charities and/or having members of our company with Autistic Spectrum Disorder?

Speaking of ableism, there’s been several disgusting and ablest-fueled remarks these individuals have made in the last few months.

Putting “disability” in quote marks acting like the individual quoted doesn’t actually have autism. This is a form of ableism.
Same use of “disability” in quote marks. Saying that the individuals referenced have “psychosis” which also looks and seems ablest. Also a repeated behaviour as it is done three times.

Do you know what psychosis is?

“An abnormal condition of the mind that involves hallucinations and delusions and is a symptom of any of various disorders or other causes.”

These individuals are claiming that the owners of the company have “delusions” from their Autism which is a form ableism. So forget about wishing to cross the line into ableism, these individuals already have.

Poor Reputation With Them’s Fightin’ Herds & Derpibooru?

“It is noteworthy to mention that communities from Them’s Fightin’ Herds to Derpibooru are all well aware of their poor reputation. Additionally, as a consequence of WindowsLogic’s ethical issues, Aurora has been banned from all UK conventions and several servers. There have been real life implications like these from continuing to be stubborn, and they will continue to face such implications in the future. We are greatly appreciative of everything (including you!) for upholding morals and values up high.”

There are users which dislike our efforts to revive Fighting is Magic, but we have never said anything worthy of that hate towards them in recent times. If Derpibooru cared that much, our accounts would be banned (which they’re not).

Correction: You got the company banned from UK Brony conventions only by writing to them and giving them a report full of manipulative text and slander. Discord servers mean nothing to us when we have a publicly facing website which is on the first page of search engines. We are still allowed at all other conventions (but we will not say which conventions those are). We are not stubborn if we’re willing to make a difference and listen to our benefactors and community, it would be stubborn to not listen to anything they say. We greatly appreciate these individuals for being disgusting scum that continues to be predatory, ablest, and manipulative with no values to speak of other than the value they are to themselves.

We will continue to face implications in the future? Is that a threat? Threatening gets you nowhere, ya know.

Cherry Picking?

“We are sure that if WindowsLogic are seeing this, they will be cherry picking our quotes and twist them into a different context than intended for their yes-men. We do however urge everyone to refrain from harassing the community members in the echo chamber as they have yet to break out of it, and are victims of it too. They deserve empathy and protection.

To the victims, we are sorry to have let you down.. But remember, WindowsLogic Productions, Alethila and TheRealityReaperBC may have won the battle, but we have won the war in the long term.”

We do not cherry-pick or twist information for these posts. We give you the exact text that was written and then write the facts underneath with nothing withheld, even going so far to putting the original text above our quote for cross-referencing.

Question, how is this website an echo-chamber for our “yes-men” when we allow anonymous comments by anyone which are automatically approved? Are you sure you’re not making an echo-chamber for your “yes-men” on Twitter?

We think these individuals should be telling themselves to stop harassing others considering they are harassing members of our company. These are the real victims, there is no one in any community that we own that feels trapped or unsafe. We have made our communities safer by disallowing certain text and putting blocks in place to stop minors from accessing adult content. Our community members most likely need protection from these individuals due to their repeated behaviour of harassment, degradation and ableism.

Victims of what? There are no victims of anything that these individuals really care about, the facade is flat and you show your true colours in everything you do. We have proved this in our recent posts on this topic.

Denouncing A Victim Of Grooming (Victim Blaming)

“We did theorise that Reality made the decision to be together with Alethila so that she would be able to cope with or process her trauma from being gr00med, as she had a gr00ming experience before. Not that it excuses the adult of taking advantage of her.”

We find it disgusting that these individuals are saying a victim of grooming is only with another person to “cope with or process”, this is victim blaming at its finest and really shows what types of people these individuals are. On top of their predatory, ablest and manipulative comments, amongst other things we have previously mentioned.

“Now that you put it this way, it makes us feel so gross that we’re admonishing a young adult who may also have arrested development on top of mental disabilities and willingless to be gr0 0med by an adult…”

These individuals are again, being ablest by saying that a member of our team has “arrested development on top of mental disabilities” which apparently made them get groomed by adults easier, which is also victim blaming on top of that by saying it’s a “willingness” when usually abused individuals keep getting abused because that’s what they’re used to, they do not willingly get caught up in those types of situations.

Other Issues – Sunbusting

Sunbusting is a NSFW pony artist who is claiming that we stole her works of art for use in Fighting is Magic: Aurora without permission or credit, even though she allows others to use her work in their Fighting is Magic builds without permission or credit. This is an issue with us, specifically. We have credited Sunbusting in the Aurora Launcher with what she specifically made and this should be sufficient for a free-to-play fan game. These specific works are a character file of Big Mac, and two stage files of an Apple Orchard and the Griffonstone scene from My Little Pony, both of which you do not own the legal rights to, therefore have no power or say in how they are handled, apart from Hasbro.

“So someone’s told me that the aurora team are straight up stealing my frames of Derpy through these videos and tracing them for their own janky version of her. No doubt they are going to do the same with my Vinyl. So from here on out I’ll be uploading only vague updates / private videos in my discord from her on out.”

This artist has also claimed tracing of works and stealing of art specifically, but there’s clear evidence provided in Fighting is Magic: Aurora for tracing of works which isn’t the case and the art theft is a misnomer to us as we have several talented artists. This artist also does not own Derpy as a character and those rights also go to Hasbro.

Other Issues – DexHaiken/PKX/PonyKillerX

PonyKillerX was once a very popular artist in the Brony fandom, even having a following of several thousand and a Patreon with several paid members, but decided to throw it away for an unknown reason. The only reason we can collectively think of was to work solely on Fighting is Magic animations as he has not made any new works since outside of this property. Why is this the case when he is clearly a talented artist? We have no idea.

Proof of PKX’s build “19666” allegedly containing malware.

We wanted to showcase his build in the Aurora Launcher with the ability for him to push updates, but he declined the offer with harsh wording, so we included it anyway for completeness until we found out that it may contain malware, therefore removed it to keep our users safe.

“Blocked already, don’t worry I have all the info I need, and some people are saying very interesting things about you.”

This screen shot was received through our game account of Fighting is Magic: Aurora in 2024. It’s clearly a threat of more “evidence” against us, but it also highlights a repeated behaviour by this former-artist of keeping screen shots from 10+ years ago to either fit with or support their narrative.

“It turns out that @FIMA_Official Launcher has a virus, to no one’s surprise, and these pieces of shit blame me for that:”

Someone spammed our Fighting is Magic: Aurora Discord server with a claim that the Aurora Launcher infected their computer. Creating malware is highly illegal and we would be in hot water for even releasing a build of the game with a trojan, worm or ransomware. The claim that your build has malware was allegedly proved with a scan with several anti-malware programs, why does Aurora not show up with those same results if it uses the same standard 2D Fighter Maker 2nd. executable?

“One year later and the @FiMA_Official clown is still trying to crack my build and steal the assets. I have measures in place if that ever happens.”

We were trying to un-encrypt your build to make a safe version due to the alleged malware included in the bundle. The argument that we were trying to “steal” assets is false as we did not like the fighting style of the characters you made for the game, we eventually made our own character with a more suited demeanor. Saying you have measures in place is a threat or either legal action or the malware allegedly planted inside it was purpose-built to take down our systems. Either way, a threat is a threat.

“Does anyone need more proof that it’s the same guy ?”

The screen shot that was taken in this post is from an age-restricted Discord channel and posting it on Twitter is endangering children who could come across it. The post does not mention that the screen shot is from an age-restricted channel and hides the channel it came from.

As you can see, this screen shot is from an age-restricted NSFW channel, that we have no issues sharing on this news blog due to the nature of our company and the age gate in place.

“By trying to doxx me, get me arrested, and harassing me for two years non-stop? Yeah, sure, I believe you.

@FiMA_Official is always trying to bring down other FIM creators because @Alethila is an IRL loser who cannot do anything worthwhile.”

We haven’t tried doxxing you, we haven’t tried getting you arrested (although the things you’ve posted most definitely could) and we haven’t bothered you at all, it seems to be the other way around with you posting about us constantly.

We have never brought down any Fighting is Magic builds, we can have our opinions on past ones, but for the newest builds 2019-onwards, we have given praise to and tried helping as much as we possibly can with their development, as said previously, we want competition. Claiming that one of our company is a loser in real life is petty and childish. Is this school? Can we get popular? Can we take Stacy(‘s mom) to the prom? Is this company not worthwhile, have we not completed anything in the time we’ve been around? So far we’ve completed two games and have plans to finish a third one very soon, not to mention Fighting is Magic: Aurora being completed very soon as well.

And no, my build is not infected with any viruses. That is another of @Alethila ‘s BS claims. He could easily verify it if he were capable of cracking the build, but he doesn’t have the brains for it.

Brains isn’t the point here, only a layman would think you need “brains” for un-encrypting. What you need is a brute-forcer to go through every conceivable byte to see which ones line up with the correct un-encrypted information to rebuild a copy of that encrypted data. Depending on the encryption level (let’s use 256-bit AES as an example), it would take until the heat death of the universe on the hardware we have access to. To make the process quicker, you would need a Quantum computer. This is complicated stuff which we know about considering we have company members which have degrees in computer science and game development, like programmers.

The real reason behind @Fima_official

A.K.A @alethila ‘s ban from the TFH discord.”

We did not harass the developers (Mane6) of Them’s Fightin’ Herds and we did stop posting about Fighting is Magic in the Discord server after mentioned. But we were also told by CamTSB that working on Fighting is Magic is illegal which is definitely not the case. It might have been illegal for Mane6 to work on it after their Cease & Desist, but for a third-party developer with no ties to that studio, it’s completely fine.
“Who left that retard on the Internet without supervision ?”
Calling one of our company members a derogatory term is not a good look for anyone and makes you look ablest. We’re sure we speak for the disabled community when we say this is not an okay remark to make about someone who has ASD.
Isn’t Aurora the build that always gets rid of features like stage selection just because Alethila is too stupid to figure out how to add new stages to the DASUBERSTADIUM stage?Ten years and he still doesn’t know how to add them,so instead of learning,he just deletes the feature.
We’re not “too stupid” to add something, we chose to remove it due to having a story focused experience which a hacky stage selection system would not allow in the grand scheme of things. We would use it if we really wanted to, but we don’t. This post is once again showing your true colours and how awful of a person you really are, on top of calling individuals “retarded” and “stupid”.

Always the victim, never to blame. Too bad for

@FiMA_Official, because I can refute every one of his claims, without any effort :”
This post was in response at an attempt of telling the truth to our users about what was happening and the allegations these people have made about our company. Below is the full content of said post; we will be re-responding to it.
Attempting to blame-shift one of our community at the time by calling them an “asslicker”. People associated with you have reverse engineered the launcher in the past, including you by releasing “Dynamite Edition” twice which is just a repackaged, cracked version of Aurora for no reason other than spite.
We admit that we misstepped on this as we mentioned the launcher had been redistributed when it had not, for that we apologise. But as for redistributing Aurora’s files wholly, you did with the “Dynamite Edition” twice which was made out of spite. The characters and scenes are Hasbro’s copyright and cannot be marketed as your own thing, so you therefore cannot claim that we’re “stealing” characters for our build when you have no power to enforce that as you are not Hasbro. If you want others to not use your work, maybe it’s time to work on your own intellectual property, not tied to My Little Pony?
We did not refuse to credit Sunbusting, we honestly had no idea who made the assets as there appeared to be no real word on it until later in development. Smoke and mirrors don’t help anyone. You complained, we did what you wanted, you moved the goalpost and claimed we did not do what you wanted. Make it make sense. We were not forced to credit anyone, we did it out of the goodness of our name and brand.
The screen shots are out of context by design and taped together and they do not show repeated behaviour, but your behaviour is repeatedly against people with disabilities and shows a lot of jealousy. Again, we have not harassed anyone, you do not show proof of any of this and we have quite plainly stated as such above.
The document quite plainly had manipulative text in it. The only behaviour that’s being “shitty” is yours and you’re showing your true colours with harassing people and throwing insults around to make yourself appear bigger or in the right.
The document mentioned still shows all company social media accounts and  accounts of individual members inside the company which is very creepy in nature. It might be public information, but searching for it and collating it on a document is weird to say the least. For reference, a sole-trading company is a company ran by a sole-trader, hence why the company and the person are one in the same. Nothing is being hidden here, you just do not understand how companies work in the United Kingdom.
“Remember when Alethila tried to steal the 2D Fighter Maker Engine and wanted to charge 5 bucks for the right to use it?”
For context, this screen shot PKX is showing here is from 2014, well before we became an official company and when it was more of a side project of our Founder/CEO. The extra context for this screen shot is that they were not charging for the engine, but charging for the materials to make the physical release such as the DVD case and the disc itself along with printables. By posting you are showing that you keep screen shots from at least over a decade in the past which is stalking and creepy.
“Using ‘people’s safety’ as an excuse so they could find someone to crack my build and steal my work, since they’re only capable of making mediocre trash at best.”
Except the matter of fact is that we were doing it for people’s safety because we care about our users. We do not want to “steal” your work, we do not want anything new you’ve created as we created alternatives ourselves. If we’re only capable of making “mediocre trash”, why did it take you several years to release a build with only one new character that wasn’t complete?
We run advertising on our websites to help pay for server costs. We use Google Ads for this purpose and Google asks you to consent for their cookies, we do not see or collect them and follow our privacy policy.
PKX also has repeated behaviour of bringing up child grooming which is predatory, creepy and disgusting, much like the Fighting is Magic: Exposed account.
We think it would be more appropriate to go back to doing art and earning money like you used to as your art is still found everywhere, even being sold at Brony conventions (possibly without your knowledge). We think this would be a better use of your time than harassing or blaming a game development company.

Other Issues – Vampstone

A small YouTuber that has been working on a video for several months about Them’s Fightin’ Herds. We don’t know much about this individual, but we do know they are guilty of the things above too.

I thought it was my fault because I wasn’t trying to make it worse or awkward. I was asking Reality if it was possible to show me the proof that she was groomed by a loli fan. After I was banned, I was afraid if what I did was inappropriate or a red flag.

What you did was ask a victim of grooming for proof which is disgusting as maybe that individual did not want to share a bad experience like that. You were banned because you kept asking and not taking no for an answer. So, yes what you did was both a red flag and inappropriate.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it’s not a surprise that these individuals are the way they are considering their track record. As a company, we will continue to strive for quality products and services, will always side with the consumer and will not do anything these individuals have said in their posts.

Thank you for reading.

Aurora 1.15 & The Future of Fighting is Magic

Hello everyone, this post will outline what will happen after Fighting is Magic: Aurora is marked as completed (1.15) and what you can expect over the coming months until 2027.

Penguin whispers to another penguin.

“Did you hear the news? Fighting is Magic will be complete very soon!”

Once the story mode of the game is complete for all 17 characters, we will be setting our eyes on refining some issues with the game, these will be done in smaller updates until we approach the 1.15 milestone. With 1.15 we will be formally putting the game into “support only” status and only providing support and bug fixes for the game. We will reflect this change on the launcher when Aurora hits 1.15, directing users to this blog post if they haven’t heard the news yet.

MorningStar and both of the build archives will be kept maintained and updated until further notice or until we cannot support them anymore due to newer operating systems or incompatibilities with newer systems.

As mentioned in the Discord server, all support channels will be kept open and we will be happy to give support to users having issues with the game while it is still in the support window.

We hope you continue to enjoy Fighting is Magic: Aurora as a complete game and we hope you share it with your friends.

Thank you for reading.

Addressing Allegations of Misconduct/Company Wrongdoings

Hello, to preface, while this post will be public, will not be announcing it anywhere. As referenced in Section 8 of our Terms of Service, you must hold WindowsLogic Productions harmless. As the people have been using our services to create allegations against us, they have more or less accepted the agreements of our terms of service. Due to use following a guide, this post may flip-flop between topics and contents, we apologise for this in advance.

If you do not care about petty drama, then you can skip this post and continue on with your day.

With that said, we will be splitting this post into separate sections via headings, will only be addressing company concerns and will not beat around the bush about anything mentioned. Do not be surprised if this post spans pages upon pages.

As mentioned previously, these individuals have shared their thoughts about our game Town Girls to quite a disgusting regard, which you can read here. We will also be sharing other things they have said about our games in this post and clarifying information regarding that.

Copyright Take-downs, Allegations Of False Copyright Claims & Enforcing Our Assets

As a company, when an individual or organisation uses an original asset without permission, we will waiver the right to take down that content under the guise of copyright infringement. This is a given right in the United Kingdom, companies do not need to register copyright, it is automatically given and is enforceable. Using screen shots of our software, user interfaces or artworks in a document which is clearly designed to antagonise and/or defame is not a form of fair use that is allowed.

“You cannot copy or use copyright material without permission. For example, you cannot buy a painting and then use copies of it for a book cover, or buy a CD and use a track from it in a film.” – GOV.UK Copyright

Formally, we do not give you permission to use our work in anything you create which is made to antagonise or defame. Threatening legal action will not work as you have used works which we originally created, the court of law would side with us. If we do not allow you to fairly use our work, you cannot use it and it is copyright infringement, it is not a false copyright claim if we take down that content. We have permitted the use of our copyrighted work for pieces which provide a constructive critique of our services or products (what is good, bad and how we can improve). We do not feel that you are creating a good showing of constructive critique as you do not tell us how to improve. Demanding arbitrary items is not a showing of telling us how to improve. We are not misusing copyright by protecting our assets in this way. If you think we are misusing our copyrighted content or waiver to take down our copyrighted content, then you should tell this information to other companies that do the same; Google, Microsoft, IBM, Meta, Western Digital, Valve, Epic Games etc.

Are they in the wrong too?

We also find it awful that you are hosting advertising on a website made to defame us as a company and our individual members.

“It looks like you’re making money off slander, would you like help with that? – Clippit”

Use Of Assets Previously Made By Others

It is very rare that we use assets made by others. We only do this on a single game which is a free to play, non-profit fan-game. We understand that this has annoyed some people because we did not ask permission to use these assets, but we have credited them (see image below).

We feel that we do not have to ask permission as the used assets were recreations of copyrighted content by a larger company; Hasbro, Inc. The people annoyed at us using these recreations are claiming ownership of characters and scenes of Hasbro, Inc. and we do not feel that this is right. If we wanted to get technical, the game shouldn’t exist because all content is “stolen”. But others still make versions of this game to this day and no one cares except these people who have chimed in for us using the same assets. They claim that others asked for permission, but we’ve had many reports that this was not the case. Is this a problem with us using the assets specifically? Most assets used were originally slated as “open source”, are they now closed source because the creators just so happened to feel like it but still allow others to use it except us?

To clarify, our paid projects do not use assets made by others at all unless they are commissioned works which we have paid for.

Addressing “Legal Claim” from Hasbro, Inc.

We have not formally addressed this happening from 2024. The claim more or less summarised that we were not allowed to use characters from My Little Pony on the Fighting is Magic website and to take down the content immediately. We transferred the website to a third-party server and have had no issues since so we can only assume it was a false claim which would be impersonation of a lawyer. Bearing in mind also that Hasbro, Inc. (an American company) has no legal power in the UK with regards to their shows and would need to create an international dispute which would cost a lot of money. Hasbro UK would not have the power to enforce this either as they only handle toys, board games and card games in the UK. We have gotten word that the claim was apparently filed by a previous developer of Fighting is Magic, but cannot say for certain as there’s no proof to that claim. Hasbro cannot claim content on the mentioned page “characters.php” as their own as the content is original works made by us.

Previous Unprofessionalism

In the past we might have been unprofessional with the way we dealt with issues regarding Fighting is Magic before the company was formed in 2022 and subsequently apologise for any unprofessional behaviour since and moving forward. We are attempting to be more professional with our products and services to provide users with a better experience.

Claims Of Transphobia & Homophobia Inside The Company

As a company, we accept all people from all walks of life. In 2024, we hired a transgender artist and animator who does our animations for Town Girls and Ponykind Grind. In our games, we have many homoerotic happenings such as lesbianism, homosexuality and have future plans to fully represent transgender individuals and gender dysphoria. We want to support people in situations where they could get hurt from abusers, transphobic or homophobic people if we need to and we will not shy away from making light of these awful situations in an effort to provide awareness in our media and/or content.

Fighting is Magic: Aurora – Our Reasons

“Roundabout way of selecting stages”

We chose to forego the stage select created by previous fan developers of Fighting is Magic as we wanted to focus on a real single player campaign instead of relying on just an arcade mode. Due to the limitations of the engine and how the single player code worked for the stage select, it would be extremely difficult for it to point to the right stage for a specific story beat.

“Incomplete additional characters”

Perfection takes time and not everything is going to be done straight away in a rolling release-style game which Aurora is. We do not leave games to rot and will address completeness and/or issues to do with either incomplete or broken game-play.

“Gameplay for Mane Six characters are barely changed from before”

This is obviously not counting the “under-the-hood” changes we’ve made for all the characters throughout the over 100 revisions of Aurora since it was remade in 2017. The proof of this is in the update log attached to the launcher which anyone who downloads the game can read through. We have also added Level 2 Supers to many of the characters and balanced them during this time as well.

“They should make a beta channel and not allow people to download an unfinished game”

We have nothing to hide in terms of the development of the game, what would be the point of providing a separate beta channel when we want the maximum engagement and feedback so we can listen and make changes to the game based on user feedback?

“They ignore user feedback and don’t change anything”

This statement is false for several reasons as we listen to everyone who does provide constructive criticism and bug reports for the game and end up making changes at least on the update after said individual(s) have reported those issues. We also frequently run polls on the Discord server to get a feel for what the community want and make changes based on those polls.

“They don’t have difficulty selection in the story mode so obviously don’t know how to program it”

Correction: We would if we didn’t have a mode selection. Due to the limitations of the engine, we can have either a difficulty selection or a mode selection. We chose the latter as we wanted users to have more modes of play and not having “knowledge” is not a reason of why we chose to not have both. We would have both if the engine allowed it and if we had enough free story spaces once everything is said and done.

We Supposedly Claim Ownership Of Other’s Works

This is untrue and we have never claimed ownership of others works, we do however credit others when using their works overall and make reference to exactly what that individual worked on. As stated before, creators of works which are from a copyrighted property such as My Little Pony cannot tell others what to do with these works as they do not own the rights of these works originally. (Example: If you create animations of Big Mac from My Little Pony, you do not own the character and the copyright owner shall be the one or enforce its use. Animation by itself cannot be copyrighted.)

IP Tracking & Content Collection

As stated in our Privacy Policy, we do not collect or store data unless you specifically want us to. By default we must log IP addresses that connect to our servers given the nature of a web server. We use Internet Information Services on Windows Server for the majority of our websites and that by default logs connections to the website, but we purge those entries every 30 days. We do not monitor or look at connection addresses to our websites or the WindowsLogic Productions Game Services.

We Lack Knowledge About Game Engines & Programming

This statement is very untrue as we’ve been developing games since before generative artificial intelligence was a popular ordeal and we refuse to use anything of the sort for our products and services as we feel it would ruin the handcrafted feel of our offerings. We have expert knowledge of our custom game engines for Cutie Clicker, Ponykind Grind, Christine’s Cum Pit and and of other third-party engines we use such as 2D Fighter Maker 2nd. for Fighting is Magic: Aurora and Ren’Py for Town Girls. You can see our knowledge of these engines in the products we produce, without this knowledge, we would not be able to efficiently create updates for these products.

Monopolising The “Fighting is Magic” Brand

This argument is a misnomer to us as we only chose the website domain because someone else kindly donated it to us, before we were using a subdomain of windowslogic.co.uk and were fine using that until fightingismagic.com was donated. We create merchandise to do with Aurora as a way to bring engagement and help support us by selling original products which are not inherently tied to the game and can be sold without any issues of copyright or intellectual property. “Monopolising” would mean we have a foothold on the “market” of Fighting is Magic and do not allow competition, which we are incredibly for. We would love if other builds did compete with Aurora but so far none have stepped up to the challenge. Is wanting competition controlling the narrative, what narrative are we creating here exactly?

The Issue Of Malware In One Fighting is Magic Build

The Aurora Launcher houses many older archives of Fighting is Magic builds created throughout the years which are considered abandonware due to the developers not supporting or maintaining them, one such build was released in 2023 and was identified to have malware contained inside of it. Even if this is not the case, we did not like the signs that pointed towards it and would rather not have this build accessible in a WindowsLogic Productions product and would prefer to keep our users safe. User safety is our top priority as per our Privacy Policy and Our Security & Conduct on our About page.

Copyright Infringement “Hypocrisy”

We feel like we’re beating a dead horse at this point (pun unintended). We stated that the assets (UI/UX, sounds, music and art) we created for Aurora are copyrighted to us apart from characters and scenes, where’s the hypocrisy? We’re not copyrighting the characters and they are freely usable without permission if the Aurora themed files are removed. Are we wrong for wanting to copyright our original assets? It’s not like other companies also do the same thing, it’s almost like it’s a normal affair.

Slander Of Our Adult Game – Town Girls

“Is it not disturbing that the daughter knows about this lewd social media when she’s not yet a legal adult??”

Yes, it is disturbing and that’s the point. Even though ClopPad’s terms of service in the game universe allow 13+, they are a harmful example of a social media and do not check what users are posting or even how old they are.

“A mother teasing the possibility of showing off her daughter once she becomes of age??”

Yes, because her mother is a stripper and porn star. She doesn’t care about the repercussions of showing off her daughter to the world and is an awful example of a parent because of this

This character is an airhead who unknowingly allows her friends to create sexual situations for her to deal with. They are purposely awful examples of fake friends to make awareness of users and abusers.

“Ditto for this character, who would also be at least 11 – 12 at the time when the account was made.”

Yes, we know. It’s on purpose to show that ClopPad is an awful example of a social media entity in this fictional universe.

“The game is presumably set in the year 2022 according to the latest status update by one of the characters dating to 2022. This means that this character joined ClopPad when she was 11 – 12.”

Correct, the game is set in 2022, this is when we started working on the game. Yes, we know. Everything we’ve done has been done with intention to paint a bad picture for the fictional social media, ClopPad.

This is used as an example of Christine’s mother being awful, allowing her into her 18+ place of work when she’s a child. Again, to raise awareness of abuse.

Trigger Warning // suggestive content involving the glamorisation of m!nors Here is your game

. Character turned 18 in 2021, pictures of said character in suggestive outfits and poses from 2015-2016 when she was at least 12 (!!!!)

All of the screen shots here are censored for no reason as these images depict our original character Christine in clothing. Obviously censored for “dramatic effect” or something. Christine is not depicted as a minor in these posts, even if her canonical age is that of a minor, you can tell this from her body figure and adult features which these individuals have purposely censored to fit their narrative. Please refer to the actual images on this page: Christine’s ClopPad

“They seem to be normalizing this behaviour, especially now that their news blog is filled with these inappropriate animations. Even Aurora news and updates are being posted on this.

Trigger Warning // Sexual Content, possibly involving minors (?)”

Once again, these fictional adult girls are censored for no reason (to fit with a narrative?). We are apparently normalising a behaviour of having adult content on an adult site with an age gate (or creating content with minors if you believe their slander). All characters on the site are depicted as adults (they have body figures and features of adults), regardless of the canonical age they were at the time as we wanted to tell a subversive story about grooming, predatory acts and abuse. If you picked that you are 18+, we are not liable for what you see beyond that point. We have since cornered off Fighting is Magic news so when navigating from the Fighting is Magic site, it will default to only posts about Aurora.

We find it disgusting that these individuals feel the need to claim that our adult characters are minors or are depicted as minors on the fictional social media ClopPad, especially characters that are 19 and 40 years old respectively when the game is set (2022). This is now a repeated behaviour due to all of these posts being followed by the posts we made reference to last time. It seems like these people have an obsession with minors, even if they’re fictional, quite concerning, creepy and predatory in nature. These screen shots also go with the section about copyright above, we did not give you permission to use this media, you used it without permission which is copyright infringement.

Reinforcing Town Girls and Its Message

Hello to all benefactors and people who are interested in Town Girls. We want to preface this post by saying that all art of Town Girls characters, even if their ClopPad posts are in the past, are drawn aged-up which means they are 18 or over in the pictures, regardless of their canonical age. In the game itself, all characters are over 18, as you are meeting, dating and having sex with them after the ClopPad posts as consenting adults. All media on this blog and other websites, including animations and videos are posted knowing the characters are depicted as over 18 in those scenarios.

Town Girls is an adult game with a social commentary on how the online landscape is and we chose to make this medium in adult nature to show how bad it can be. Although ClopPad has aged-up pictures of the girls doing not safe or work activities, the premise is that they posted this content when they were underage which is meant to be shown as a bad thing. We do not endorse this type of behaviour or want anyone underage to be subject to this type of behaviour, either self-inflicted or coerced. We are legally allowed to create a social commentary on this issue to make others aware of it as long as it continues to be a work of fiction and does not depict real people.

We find it utterly disgusting that someone has suggested that we make the protagonist (the character you play as) underage in a dating simulator with adult characters. This goes against all that we stand for as a company and would make us look bad, possibly even make us look predatory and would be illegal as adults would be dating a minor.

The user who suggested this @’d our Town Girls Twitter with this:

Wild suggestion:

can reinforce their intended message by flipping the concept – players stepping into the role of a minor navigating a world of predatory characters. A strong educational focus can also help to shed light on these issues in a meaningful way.

This concept would still need to be handled with care and executed to avoid glamorization but we think it will be an improvement from the current approach.

The Tweet above has since been deleted by the poster, a screen shot can be found here:
https://cdn.windowslogic.co.uk/img/z0ax1h3g.png

This goes against the games message, premise, goal and is most importantly disgusting, illegal and predatory in nature. This would also risk glorification and/or glamorisation and may put more children in danger as a result.

We listen to all feedback that comes around with all of our games, and we try our best to do the right thing based on any feedback we receive. We have made steps towards changing art that looks like it could depict underage characters based on previous feedback and have never denied feedback based on those factors.

If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment.

Thank you.

– WindowsLogic Productions.
