WHO IS STEVE NEWCOMB?
Follower of Jesus, husband, lover of chocolate!
Chapter 1 – Choral music teacher in a junior high school in Malibu CA.
Chapter 2 – Classroom and music teacher in a private school.
Chapter 3 – Graduate of computer tech school, starting as a programmer (IBM 360 Assembler for the nerds) and continuing on into project management.
Chapter 4 – Script writer/composer/performer of Biblical musicals with a traveling Christian drama ministry.
Chapter 5 – Retired husband, grandfather, servant at church and up and coming author! Living and loving Asheville NC.
MORE ABOUT CHAPTER 4
While I worked in the corporate world, we participated in lay ministries, including drama, music, parenting classes, and sports. After 22 years, we decided to take a step of faith, toward full-time ministry and work with eternal purpose.
We packed up our home in Southern California and headed to Bramwell, WV.
From 2006 to 2018, we co-labored with another couple, Steve and Linda Short, in the performing arts ministry: His Majesty’s Ministries. Steve Short and Steve Newcomb co-wrote 5 musicals. Steve N. wrote By Faith Alone. His Majesty’s Ministries toured the United States several times. We made it across the oceans to Romania, Brazil, Kosovo, Israel, England and Wales. In September 2018, we left His Majesty’s Ministries and eventually moved to Asheville, NC, where we are enjoying time with our family.
Oh, the “we” includes my amazing partner in all we do together, my wife, the lovely Charlotte!
