Hey folks,

Just wanted to share a sketch of a scene from HP Order of the Phoenix I drew a few weeks ago. The quality isn't that great because it's just a photo of the picture that I cleaned up a little in GIMP. I don't have access to a scanner yet, so yeah, it's a bit blurry around the edges.

I drew the scene in Grimmauld Place where Harry's been informed that Snape will be giving him occlumency lessons. Sirius and Snape are about to hex each others' balls off, and Harry is trying to keep them off each other when the Weasleys, surrounding Mr. Weasley who just got out of the hospital, open the door to find one 15 year old trying to stop two adults from killing each other in a spontaneous unresolved schoolyard rivalry sort of battle.

I'm really out of practice, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. I'm happiest with how Snape and the Weasleys came out.

Seriously, no. I don't. I would if I could, but I don't. Flattery will get you on my LJ, though.

Yeah, so, um, I'm in China again. I've been working as a teacher for the last nine months. I'm going home to start a post-bachelor premedical program in the fall, and I will then have access to scanner to update you all with my fanart of the last 2 years. I haven't been writing because, honestly, finishing my history degree took all the joy out of my life for a good two years. I've barely started to enjoy reading again, and I'm working my way up to writing for pleasure. I still fully intend to finish that Jeeves WW2 fic, and to put up the House/Wilson mpreg comic too, once there is a scanner that isn't in my boss's office that I can have access too. I just don't think I want to explain to a 40-something Chinese women why that man is crying and pregnant. I really don't.

Other things that will be updated:

1) My sister is coming to join me this summer and we will revise together the star Trek sitcom episodes. There are so many stupid little errors and bad bits of writing that I want to revise the whole thing to delete crap, add scenes and whatnot.

2) I have some Sherlock Holmes art that is kicking around my apartment that needs to go up.

3) I've been doodling Harry/Draco during my lunch breaks, and as soon as I get good enough at drawing Harry I will probably have some pics for that fandom too.

4) Oh god, I'm frightened to go through my notes from classes in college. I'm sure I have about a million Spock and Sherlock Holmes doodles, of varying quality, in my textbooks and notes. I have a bad doodling habit, and it's cost me some money since the school wouldn't buy back my doodled-in books. :(

Sorry sorrY SORRY sorry SoRrY sOrRy.
This sounds crazy....
but I've been in China for the last seven months. I'm back! Sort of....I'm still not home, but making the rounds to see various friends and relations that have been neglected while I polished my language skills in a country that blocks internet access to Livejournal (cruel bastards!).
Anyhoo, it is winter break, I will soon be home, and I will soon soon soon finish the several projects I left unfinished when I went; namely, the Jeeves/Wooster WWII fic and the House/Wilson comic I've been working on for a YEAR now.
I have but one excuse besides this journey to a land with no Livejournal: I have ADHD. I am trying to manage though, and I DO finish things eventually, so bear with me, folks! I will deliver. Really. I will. NO! Seriously. I will.

Title: Passion in the Pennines (horrible title, I know, lol): Sequel to "A Night in the Underground" and part 2 of 3 in the story arc.
Author: nerd_aesthetic
Rating: R (smex)
Fandom: Jeeves and Wooster
Pairing: Jeeves/Wooster
A/N: It's hard to write first person sex, particularly when that person is an upper-class British gent of the early 20th c. So I give a hearty THANK YOU!!! to my sister and beta extraordinaire starlingthefool. I hope all wisps of Harlequin have been banished. Also, I apologise for turning this into a three part story. I just can't seem to tell a story in two parts.
Disclaimer: Not my characters.
Summary: Escape from the city.

On the morning after that first air raid....Collapse )

Hopefully Part 3 will be posted soon--as soon as finals are over.

I swear I'm 2/3 of the way done with that Jeeves and Wooster WWII fic. I wrote at least six pages tonight. I apologize to those who have been waiting patiently, but it's also the end of the semester and I'm being forced to write essays as well. Also, this damn thing seems to be turning into a novel! Well, hopefully you'll see the end of it within the week. Sigh. I want to see the end of it. I just wrote the steamy love scene, so at least you know you have that to look forward to. I just wish I had more free time to write it!

don't worry, part two of the Jooster WWII fic is halfway done. I will do my best to finish it this weekend. I'm hooked on it, myself. I wish I didn't have a class at 9am tomorrow morning! Otherwise I'd just stay up all night writing. Bertie has been whispering in my ear all evening, telling me how the story goes. I just hope he can keep his facts straight for another day while I take care of my other obligations. Then I'll give him the ear he deserves.

PS. I'm still looking for a beta! I'd love to have someone give it a once-over, at least. I'm sort of a dyslexic typer and my Americanisms need to be checked and tossed.

Sorry to keep you all waiting.

Title: [working] A Night in the Underground with my Knight in Shining Bowler.
Author: nerd_aesthetic
Rating: PG so far (for scary bombing sounds and briefly implied m/m)
Fandom: Jeeves & Wooster
A/N: Inspired by my one-panel comic, I started this fic about a week ago. This is what I have so far.
Eventually, there will be Romance, but so far just some gen H/C. This is also as yet unbetaed. Let me know if you want to be my Florence Craye; if you do I will be your Madeline Bassett. ;)
Also, comments of all stripes encouraged, especially concrit. I'm American and I've never attempted a 1940's posh British accent before....!

"Jeeves! What's that rummy sound?" I shouted to my man over the infernal din that seemed to come from everywhere, clapping my hands over the Wooster ears.

I believe it is an air raid siren, sir.Collapse )

Warnings: nerdiness ahoy! Also, WWII ahoy....not a topic of joy, despite my comic take on this particular circ.
A/N: Today I have for you a drawing of an historical event seen from the eyes of our lovable Bertie Wooster and his masterful valet Jeeves. I've provided the date, which is going to give it away to cheaters and history majors, but that's okay. Cheat/study away....
