I always love coming back to LJ so randomly

I quit my job last week!
Almost 20 yrs of me working in the corporate world ended last week too!
I am finally going to practice my profession!
Here's to hoping I can study well so I can pass my US licensing exam hahahah

I was browsing through my friends feed and I can't browse past 25 entries...
And all I see are group posts instead of individual posts..

It's been a while!
Maybe next year I'd make another goal to post here daily

We have already moved to our house and we're almost done unpacking
Just a little bit more and we're all settled
I'm so excited to finish organizing the house

We have already purchased all the important stuff that we need
We got our fridge, washer and dryer, new bed and bedframe, even a new couch!
A lot of expenses but it's okay because we finally have a home
I will be sharing pictures once everything is done!

We also got a new member in the family!



My husband and I have been planning his name for a while!
We wanted Kewpie, Milk Tea, Almond... and settled for Aki XDDD
His full name is Aki Milk Tea!
I still want Milk Tea in there somewhere lol!
But we will be calling him Aki for short

We got him from a feline rescue group yesterday
I saw him posted online a few days ago and thought, he's the one!
We have been wanting another cat but we want either a white or an orange cat (he's both!)
We also want another long-haired cat (he is too!)
He is just perfect!
Although we wanted another girl, we just didn't wanna miss the opportunity
We already love him so much!
Nekochan is already warming up to him, but Kohi is still hissing
It might take a couple weeks or maybe even months for Kohi to warm up
While our friends were here for a few weeks, Kohi was hiding the whole time
He hates change and he takes a while to adjust
I can't wait for him to get along with his new brother!

On Friday, we finally signed the Escrow closing paperworks for our house
And today, we did our final walkthrough and wired the payment
We are moving to our first house soon!
We are sooooo excited!

It's not going to be easy financially, and sacrifices has to be made
But it will all be worth it because at least the house belongs to us
There's still a lot of furniture and appliances that we need, but we will get them little by little
For now we will prioritize the important ones like fridge, washer/dryer, and probably even a new bed because I'm getting another surgery soon and I need a comfortable bed

It's such a great milestone to finally be able to purchase a house
We are probably going to receive the keys tomorrow, on our 6th wedding anniversary!

I got a promotion 2 days ago
I am now our Director of Sales!
I finally got a much needed pay raise, which would help a lot in our future endeavors
I'm happy, and I really deserve it
I worked SO HARD

I hope that this isn't the only blessing I'd receive this year
There's one more thing we're looking forward to and I hope that we can get it soon

Guess what?
My pain only stopped today
I was in pain for 3 weeks
THREE WEEKS

I was prescribed meds my surgeon used when I woke up from surgery
The pain was that bad, I needed surgery-grade medication
And speaking of surgery, it's gonna happen sooner than expected
My doctor already submitted the request to my insurance
So it will happen within 2 months
I am not even bothered or worried anymore
I just wanna get over the pain
I just want it to be over
I wanna be pain free

I've been in constant pain for a week
I am already super tired of it
I am living on pain medication and I am worried about what it could do to my liver and kidneys who are already both messed up
I am torn between getting a short relief versus suffering organ failure
It's too much
Too much...
The pain is too much
I just wanna be pain free even for a day
I am only on my ovulation week
How much more it will hurt once I get my actual period?

Today I received more welcome emails from my part-time,
and they gave a list of all the requirements
It's just some paperwork as well as a Food Handlers Card
So I went to the website they recommended and did the training
Thankfully, it's only $7 something and I aced the final test
I now have a Food Handlers certificate and it's good for 3 years!

I hope that I will be able to handle having a full time and part time job at the same time
Although I still get the weekends, I am hoping that I won't be too tired
But the idea of earning more money is really super exciting
I am excited to earn more

Next week, I will start working at my part-time!
I am so excited!

On the other hand, it's Ohkura's birthday!
He's already 37!
Which means, I will also turn 37 in 5 months LOL

And on another news, Subaru had his first baby!
Apparently, his wife gave birth last week or something
I am so happy for him!

Today is Day 23 of my diet
I've already lost 14.4 lbs!
I feel so much lighter, inside and out
I feel more comfortable, and clothes fit better!
I have 20 more days to go on a very strict diet, then I will get my blood work to see if my cholesterol is already back to normal, and if I no longer have a fatty liver
I'm excited to be healthier again!
I will do my best to maintain my weight afterwards, and will continue to eat healthier!
