Oh man, these are gorgeous! Did you notice these as works in progress, or did they just show up whole one day?
That’s not “tribal” calligraphy. It’s Islamic calligraphy. I thought it was the Allahu Akbar (God is Great), but I don’t think so. Perhaps someone from your local Islamic center could translate?
