Public Comment Periods

Public Comment Periods (PCP) are an integral element to the collaborative, transparent and rigorous IRIS+ development process. All new IRIS+ Impact Themes and Lenses are subject to a 60+ day public comment period and are open to all interested.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), associated sub-indicators and metrics to support impact analytics on Healthcare and Forestry (an addition to existing Core Metrics Sets on these impact categories) were open for review during this period. - Intersections Addendum to the IRIS+ Thematic Taxonomy. Now closed. Held January-March 2023. The GIIN worked closely with PolicyLink and CapEQ to create an addendum to the IRIS+ Thematic Taxonomy, which serves as a guiding resource for applying an equity lens across investment themes. This articulates how the strategic goals within the IRIS+ Racial Equity theme intersect with different investment themes, why that matters, and where racial equity-oriented goals show up in each investment theme. - IRIS Catalog of Metrics 5.3: Now closed. The IRIS Catalog of Metrics has been updated to include updates to existing metrics as well as new metrics related to the themes of Biodiversity, Clean Energy, Gender Lens (Strategic Goal addition), Access to Quality Healthcare (update), Racial Equity, Sustainable Agriculture, and IRIS KPIs on Financial Services, Agriculture, and Energy. - IRIS Catalog of Metrics 5.2 and Glossary terms: Now closed. The IRIS Catalog of Metrics has been updated to include updates to existing metrics as well as new metrics related to the themes of Quality Jobs, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Climate Change Mitigation. - Methodology for Standardizing and Comparing Impact Performance: Building upon IRIS+ metrics, this methodology offers an approach to assess and compare impact results across impact investments. Now closed. Held November 2020 - March 2021. View feedback received here (206 comments).
