Stakeholder Engagement
The GIIN has two primary ways to engage stakeholders for the development of IRIS+ as described below. If you would like to get involved in either of these groups, reach out to our team here.
IRIS+ Working Groups: IRIS+ Working Groups are select communities of diverse practitioners with expertise in impact measurement and management (IMM) and sector expertise. Guided by the GIIN's IRIS+/IMM team, the IRIS+ Working Groups play a key role in developing IRIS+ resources, including core metrics sets.
The commitment is approximately 2-4 hours per month, over the course of six to nine months. The IRIS+ Working Groups provide an excellent opportunity for interactive conversations, exchanging best practices across practitioners, building community, workshopping ideas and brainstorming critical gaps in IMM while shaping IRIS+ Impact Themes and Lenses.
IRIS+ Consultation Groups: IRIS+ Consultation Groups are wider communities of practitioners who are occasionally consulted for their inputs and feedback via 1:1 calls or surveys during the IRIS+ content development process. There is no predetermined level of commitment for the IRIS+ Consultation Groups, as involvement occurs as needed, typically for the purpose of gathering targeted feedback to help inform IRIS+ Working Group deliberations. The groups provide an excellent opportunity to contribute to IRIS+ Impact Themes and Lenses during their initial development phase.
Engagements include participation via live virtual calls (group and/or 1:1), live working documents and survey questions. While all engagements are voluntary, individuals and organizations that express interest in participating indicate their capacity to actively participate in the development process as described.
