natPortal

Participants log into natPortal and complete a role-specific registration form hosted on Budibase. Upon submission, they are directed to the natIgnite Luma page.

You can find everything you need to succeed at natIgnite on natPortal. You'll find code templates to help you get started, workshop content, your hacker survival guide, and more.

All forms will be submitted through natPortal.

Please note: natPortal forms do not autosave. Your responses will not be saved until you submit the form.

Discord

All official natIgnite communications will take place on Discord, which is also a great place to meet teammates before the event.

Please be sure to join the Discord prior to the event.

Mentors

Technical and business mentors will be available throughout the hackathon, providing guidance on any issues you may encounter.

Hardware Rentals

  • Hardware will be picked up by hackers upon payment of a deposit to NeurAlbertaTech. The deposit will be fully reimbursed after the hardware is safely returned.

  • Partial to full deposit waivers are available to those in financial need, and can be requested in our general application form. You might be asked to provide proof of income or other documents about your financial situation. Deposit waivers are not guaranteed.

  • Hardware applications are competitive and will be judged by the natIgnite Board of Directors.

  • Hardware Lending Applications will have to be submitted by August 5th

Hardware deposit rates can be found in our natIgnite 2025 Rules

  • Note: $25 is a non-refundable program fee, while $25 is refundable under specific conditions:
  • If the participant is not matched with a Problem Provider, all $50 will be refunded

  • If the participant drops out of the hackathon at any point, the $25 will not be refunded
  • If the participant completes the full hackathon, the $25 will be refunded
  • Failure to attend Pitch Day or the Hackathon Weekend will result in no refunds
