Participants must complete and submit the hacker application form on the NAT website.

Please note: NAT website forms do not autosave. Your responses will not be saved until you submit the form.

To complete your hacker registration, you will be prompted to go to the natHacks 2025 Luma page, where you will complete registration by providing your payment information for the partially refundable $50 deposit. The deadline to fill out the Luma registration is October 26 at 11:59 PM MT. Please note that we will not charge you for this $50 deposit until your registration is approved by the natHacks team, which you will be informed about via email. We will not be able to approve your hacker application unless you submit the required information through Luma.

All official natHacks communications will take place on Discord, which is also a great place to meet teammates before the event.

Please be sure to join the Discord by October 26 at 11:59 PM MT.

Technical and business advisors will be available throughout the hackathon, providing guidance on any issues you may encounter.

• Hardware will be picked up by hackers upon payment of a deposit to NAT. The deposit will be fully reimbursed after the hardware is safely returned. Please note that the deposit may take up to 15 business days. 

• Partial to full deposit waivers are available to those in financial need, and can be requested in our general application form. You might be asked to provide proof of income or other documents about your financial situation. Deposit waivers are not guaranteed.

• Hardware applications are competitive and will be judged by the natHacks hardware team.

• Hardware Lending Applications open on October 18, 2025 for both the Standard and Problem Provider Division

  • For Problem Provider Division, the hardware application closes on October 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM MST.
  • For Standard Division, the hardware application closes on November 3, 2025 at 11:59 PM MST.
  • Filling out the hardware lending application is highly encouraged. Those who request hardware for their team using this application will have priority in receiving their hardware during natHacks. However, the hardware lending station will remain open throughout natHacks for teams to drop in and request hardware.

Once participation is approved, participants will receive a confirmation email with key event details and access instructions to all virtual platforms, including:

• natSite – for hacker registration application,

• Luma - for submitting payment information,

• Devpost – for project submission,

• Discord – for announcements, team communication, mentorship, and live support,

• Youtube - view past workshop content from 2023 and 2024 natHacks to help you plan how to best approach the hackathon, 

• FAQ - for frequently asked questions about natHacks. The FAQ will be released in email communications after hacker approval. 

Attendees will be notified about the check-in procedures closer to the event.
