On 100.3 the sound radio, The White Album by The Beatles was voted the best album ever and if you're near a radio, you can hear it in its entirely AND how it sounds in all its vinyl glory! I think they started playing it around 8:30a so it may be over by now. But I heard it on my way to work... just a nice little thing to hear!

I know it's been a while since I've posted on here. So much has happened since my last entry. It's funny because I wrote in here more often before I had a computer than I do now. But anyway... first of all, on November 30th 2007 my beloved Muzzy the doggie passed on. We had to put him down because he had a stroke in his spine on September 11th 2007 (of all days!). On Sept 11th he had a seizure and we took him to the vet and we thought that he had been poisoned from eating a bone that a snail had slugged upon but then a few days later Muzzy couldn't walk. We took him to the vet and in turn a neurologist (who knew there was a doggie neurologist!) and he ran some tests and Muzzy had an embolism in his spine, poor baby. Since he couldn't walk the poor baby was peeing on himself and we were up with him many a night with him. I lost a lot of sleep, missed work and school. But my mom, Marcus (my bf - who had just moved in with us a month and a half before) and me all pitched in to take care of him. We took Max to physical therapy (another thing I didn't know existed for doggies) and we did several exercises to get him up on his own again. And after a month and a half or so he was able to walk pretty much on his own but he needed help - with special back leg harnesses to walk him walk. His back legs were affected by the stroke but his front were pretty strong. It was a lot of work to get him on his paws again, but sadly even though eventually he was able to walk with minimum help, his internal damage from the stroke was too much. He could have gone on dialysis but it would have been very expensive and more importantly uncomfortable for the poor baby. Since the stroke he had 3 urinary tract infections and those turned into kidney issues. Even though we tried to treat him and fix the issues it was too much and his kidneys started to fail and his liver was 3 times the size it should have been.

Our baby died at our house on his favourite bed and he was able to move about on his own with little help. He wanted to go on all four paws. Little by little in his last few weeks he slowly stopped eating and in the last few days he stopped taking water. That's when we knew it was time for him to go. I even had a dream with him the day before he died and he stated in a doggie voice that he "wanted to go now." That's when I knew letting him go was the thing to do. I know it's a little funny that I waited so long to post this but for some reason being on here was hard because it reminded me of Max so much. I don't know why, maybe because my username is muzzypal so its a reminder of him. But I guess this posting is also kinda therapeutic - a way to get stuff out. I mean, as time goes by it's easier to accept Muzz being gone but it's been almost a year anniversary since his seizure. *sigh* Anyway - so I also just graduated from UCLA in June and I'm starting my full-time job on Monday and I'm looking for an apartment too. So yeah let's of stuff happening and I wanted to post what was going on.... take care guys!

So on Thursday I get a call from Marcus saying "Oh my God you need to look outside!" So I look outside, and I see something so gorgeous, I was in awe. It really was awesome, in the true sense of the word. It's kinda big so I put it behind an lj cut. I don't have my Photoshop installed yet cos I can't find the number I need to register it. :/ So I can't tinker with the size of it yet.... but I will.

My diet over the last few days has been salads, popisicles and ice cream. It's just been waaaay too hot lately.

I'm so freakin annoyed now, Marcus (I love him so much but argh!) keeps on calling me from his "office". He's a location scout intern for an indie feature that Justin Lin - the guy that made "Fast & Furious 3" - is doing. He keeps on calling me cos he's a bit computer illiterate and wants me to help him. But I hate helping someone over the phone because I can't see what their doing and it's harder for me to explain what's going on. Then what doesn't help is he's so grumpy cos he gets so frustrated especially when he doesn't eat lunch and is in a hot office he gets a bit testy. I'm already a bit annoyed at him today - it's kinda a long story, but it's just annoying and I need to talk to him about it.

So I'm going to veg out in front of the TV and watch the Twilight Zone marathon on SciFi. :) Gah and I'll try to stay cool.. eeech too sticky.

squee!

Many of you dudes are in Cali... Let's bother our Congresswoman!

Your senator, Barbara Boxer, sits on a key committee that will decide the future of Internet freedom this week.

All eyes are on the Senate, now that the House has voted to gut Net Neutrality and give companies like AT&T more control over what you see and do online. When Sen. Boxer votes this week, she should have zero doubt about where her constituents stand on this issue.

Can you call Sen. Boxer today, and ask her to preserve Net Neutrality by supporting the bipartisan Snowe-Dorgan Internet Freedom Preservation Act (S. 2917)? Here is the number:

Senator Barbara Boxer
Phone: 202-224-3553

Please click here to let us know you called and to share how it went:

After you call your Senator's Washington, D.C. office, you can also call your local district office by clicking the above link. If you get voicemail, you can leave a message—they will get it.

Thanks for keeping the pressure on Congress as we fight to save the Internet.
