I felt we should start a welcome and introductions thread.

I'm so glad you all could come!

Those who have joined - and those who join us later - please post a brief bio here, just a bit about yourself. Perhaps what genre you usually write in, what you do in RL (if you have one), promotion of your web site (if you have one), and whatever you feel should be said.

Everyone should post to this thread, lets keep it tidy =D

I am looking for 1 or 2 volenteers for moderators. They need to have a rock steady 'net connection, as mine gets forgetful every once in a while. The moderator will post the weekly idea, if I am not there.
Other duties would include usual moderator functions.

This is a community for writers.

It was created to help writers break writers block, but it is also useful as a warm up exercise.

What we do is take a single idea, which everyone uses. You can see how it works here. We all post our stories, and enjoy the variety of responses. No two stories are alike (or even close!)

Have FUN with it. There's no stress here, it doesn't have to be publishable quality, it doesn't have to be perfect…it's to help you enjoy your writing again.


Rules:

Anyone can join.

Anyone can leave whenever they want.

Once a week, on Monday, 1 insta-muse idea inspiration will be posted. (from several sources)

- members will post stories with security level 'friend'. (Edit: 'Friends' security level is so the writer will retain first story rights. If you do not wish to retain first rights, the story can remain on 'public' security)

- Please use a cut tag an put your story behind it. (that way members are not influenced by your story, if they see it posted before they get theirs done)

- members will have 5 days to post

- two days will be used for others to review (read) and/or make comments. (EDIT: We do not do critiques here, UNLESS the writer asks for one.)

Calander review:

Mon: New idea posted: read everyones previous story: make comments: think on new story.

Tues: Continue reading previous stories, making comments, think on new story.

Wed: First day to post new stories.

Thur: Second day to post new stories.

Fri: Third day to post new stories.

Sat: Fourth day to post new stories. (one day reminder post posted)

Sun: Fifth day to post new stories, deadline at midnight your local time.

Repeat




Occasionally, I will post a request for insta-muse suggestions. They will be used at my discretion.

Once a month, with the insta-muse idea, will also be posted a Genre. For that one story, members are to use that genre for that story. (It's a fun thing, but if you don't want to, you don't have to)

Stories must be over 100 words and under 6,000.

No stories are to be X rated. R rated okay, but mark it with a warning in the title.

Members are required to post at least one story a month to retain membership. If you know you're going to be away, please tell feath.

I retain the right to ban any member who does not follow the rules.
