General Hackathon Rules:

  1. Team Formation: Teams typically consist of 2 to 5 members. Participants may also work individually, depending on the event's guidelines.

     

  2. Project Scope: Projects should align with the hackathon's theme or problem statements. All design elements, code, and hardware builds must be created during the event. Pre-existing public materials, such as open-source libraries and APIs, are permissible.

     

  3. Coding Period: All development should occur within the hackathon timeframe. Prior planning and design sketches are allowed, but coding must commence at the event's start.

     

  4. Use of External Resources: Utilizing third-party tools, frameworks, and open-source code is generally allowed. However, teams should not repurpose existing projects or code without proper attribution.

     

  5. Presentation: Teams present their projects to judges, typically through a live demo or a pre-recorded video, highlighting functionality, innovation, and relevance to the theme.

     

  6. Judging Criteria: Projects are evaluated based on factors like innovation, technical complexity, design, user experience, and adherence to the theme.

     

  7. Intellectual Property: Participants retain ownership of their creations. Organizers may request permission to showcase projects for promotional purposes.

     

Code of Conduct:

  1. Harassment-Free Environment: The hackathon is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. Harassment in any form is not tolerated.

     

  2. Respectful Behavior: Participants should act kindly, behave professionally, and avoid insulting or demeaning others. Offensive comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and unwelcome sexual attention are prohibited.

     

  3. Inclusivity: The event welcomes attendees from all backgrounds. Participants should promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and professionalism.

     

  4. Collaboration and Sharing: While competition is inherent, collaboration is encouraged. Sharing knowledge and assisting fellow participants aligns with the hackathon's spirit.
