So, two weeks till my Florida vacation for Minecon. I'm super-excited! I've been working really hard for the past week or more trying to get videos made so I'm not overloaded preparing for my time away. Still might be tough, but we'll see!
This week I've been trying something new. But first, a bit of backstory. I stopped with the caffeine before DC so it would be more effective at con. After my vacation then, I stopped again during the week and only drink coffee on sat/sun. Problem is, every Monday, just as I'm leaving work, I'd start getting a headache from withdrawal. So I decided, partially for caffeine, partially for a change, and partially for health, I was going to try tea!
I've never been much of a tea fan. But at work, they have hot water and free tea packets, and I'm tired of just chugging water all day. So I brings me a mug, buys me some honey and I'm trying stuff. Yesterday was green tea, not bad. Had a couple cups with honey. I'm sure I'll find a good fit, or get used to it. Today I saw they had green tea with lemon, so I gave that a try, the lemon was a bit overpowering. I'm going to have to give that one a try again. Then as I was going in to get another cup of lemon, I saw they had black tea too, so I tried that. Not a fan. Flavor isn't what I like and turns out it has more caffeine than green, so I'll be staying away.
I still need to figure out if I prefer my green tea with or without lemon, but now I'm trying to become a tea person!

So, let's talk. It's been a while hasn't it? Well, what should I talk about. . . how about what's news. My father's in the hospital, rough shape, possibly on his death bed. Emotionally it's not really something that bothers me. I've made my peace with the state of affairs between him and I long ago. But my brother been closer to him over the last 20 years than I ever was. So as to not force my brother to deal with everything alone, I'm trying to help in any way I can. Tuesday I took they day off work to go with him to see a lawyer about dad's estate and dealing with his (ex)wife. Afterwards I went and visited him in the hospital.
He's so tiny and frail. Incoherent, couldn't understand what I said, dunno if he knew who I was, I couldn't understand more than a yes or no from him. Hung out there for around 30 minutes, then went about the rest of my day. I think it meant a lot to my brother that I went though, so that's good.

So my two weeks of vacation are over and I'm back at work. Totally sucks. Oh well, it's life, right? Not a whole lot to say, I had a great time at DC, wish I could have taken more time off. Man I wish I could retire. . . . I need to start playing the lottery.

So, today is the last day of work before my 2 week vacation! I cannot wait, well, I mean I have to. But I'm really excited! Dragoncon's coming up in a week, that'll be fun.

It'sa Me! Not a lot to say. I've decided that I need to work on getting in better shape. Nothing major, but I mowed the lawn again this weekend, still tough. But I think if I try to eat a little better (which I've been planning on doing anyway) and start doing more active things (even if it's just weekend work outdoors) it'll be a start. I'm going to actually see what I can do about getting my front lawn into better shape.

So over the weekend I mowed the lawn cause The Boy doesn't want to do it anymore. It was quite the workout. I like it, except for the part where the lawnmower's battery didn't last long enough. It's ok, but I need to go over it again to get the spots I missed.

And not a whole lot to talk about. Let's see, right now I've got a bit of a conundrum. I've decided that I think I want to move one of my youtube series (Mining with Munchmo if anyone cares) from the world it takes place in now, which is the same world it has always been in from the very beginning, to a new world on an existing server full of people. The addition of many peoples would help me out I think, give me more things I can do for content, etc. Problem is, there's this one server community I'm part of, played with the first day the most recent map was there, but haven't since. Didn't really play on the old map either. But everyday I am in skype chat with these people, talk to them all the time, great people.
There's also this other server I was invited to play on a while ago, and I think the invite is still open, good people there, not as familiar with most of them as the other server, but more people there make the youtube videos, so it would help out (hopefully) with youtube stuff.
I'm really inclined to go and play on the second server, but I'm worried I may upset people from the first server by doing it. I guess I really should just talk to them and see what they think.
Oh the things I worry about . . . so pointless, lol

Without much to say. A personal endeavor has turned out really well, but not something I can go into detail here about. I'm just glad to be able to say I was successful the first time and now I can work on duplicating the results and hopefully improving them. Youtube is still youtube, doing what I'm doing. Nothing much else to say though. Had a good weekend, hung with people, lots of fun.
