Emily Catazaro, Christopher’s mother
When kindergartner Christopher was denied attendance at school due to his need for one-on-one nursing services for his complex medical needs, his mother Emily, a nurse herself, knew this threatened both his health and development. She contacted MCJ for help securing these critical services. Our staff attended school district meetings, presenting compelling medical documentation and advocating for Christopher’s educational rights. After persistent negotiation, the district reversed its decision.
