I mentioned in yesterdays post.......
As of lunchtime she's still on a respirator but improving - fingers crossed she'll soon be home. Mum has been moved from high dependency to ordinary ward and aside from worrying about her daughter and feeling miles away from her - they are on different floors of the hospital is doing okay.

So please keep them in your thoughts and fingers crossed all will be well.

A lovely lovely friend of mine has given birth today to a little girl (after something like 4 or 5 lots of IVF) - she had to be born by emergency ceasarian because of complications and is now in intensive care as she has breathing difficulties - please keep your fingers crossed that all will be well asap and that she'll be home soon with a recovered Mum and Dad.

Thank you.

If so do you have room in your car for me in return for petrol money? or fancy sitting next to me on the train so I don't look like Billy-no mates?

Yay!!
I love Mr Harryhausen and all his fabulous works.....especially the fighting skeletons.

Sherlock Holmes Versus Count Dracula

Tonight on BBC7 at 8pm, I listened to it earlier and it was very good, could have been very hammy and camp and very occasionally it was but on the whole it was very good indeed. Creepy and suspenseful too - the descriptions of the captains corpse lashed to the wheel of the ship were especially gripping.

I especially liked the small detour to Whitechapel morgue to look at the body of a dead prostitute who Inspector LeStrade mistakenly thought was another Jack The Ripper victim.

Its good - go listen or listen again ont tinternet.

Don't think I'll be able to make it as its a school night but I said I'd mention it for a chum....mind I wonder if I could swap another day off round?.....anyone here up for it?
Am gutted, I was really really looking forward to it.
Bugger.
I couldn't see anything on the Laibach site but if you follow the link to buy tickets, ticketline website says it has been cancelled and to call for a refund.
My friend Jon who had got us the tickets emailed me to say he'd just recieved an email explaining how to get a refund.
Arse.
Anyone know anymore about it? like why its been cancelled or if it will be rescheduled?
If so - want to talk about it, I'm alternately gripped, saddened, enthralled....can't put it down, about two thirds of the way through so don't tell me what happens at the end yet.
I would have posted this to read rant rave but I only seem to have the option of posting to my own journal so I'll leave this public.
Evening all, am typing this from my Dad's wifi enabled laptop in now dark but it has been very sunny Jersey. Countdown to brothers wedding, t minus one day and counting. Folks all fine and thankfully flight over wasn't too bumpy.
Today Pandy Pops and I went to the zoo and it was amazing - as its winter and no longer tourist time Jersey is very quiet and there were about 10 other visitors today so we walked round in the peace and quiet and spent ages watching the gorillas, my faves - the livingstone fruit bats and best of all the aye aye's. Well there are 5 at the zoo but we could only see one. They are the most fabulous of creatures and fingers crossed Father Xmas will be bringing me an adoption of one. Yay!!!
My Mum has always been a bit like Mrs Doyle from Father Ted, and yesterday she lived up to this by making Pandy Pops and I a small mountain of sandwiches, bless her.
My older brother has arrived now and is snoring incredibly loudly on the sofa.........and my coffin that my dad made me is FABULOUS!!!!!!!
Best go and get ready for dinner.
Hope all well out there in LJ-land
big hugs
me
