Driving Directions
From I-495 South
Take exit 39 to Rte. 133W. Follow Rte. 133W for approximately 4 miles to Rte. 38N (Nesmith Street.) Turn right onto Rte. 38N and turn left at the next stoplight (E. Merrimack Street.) The theatre is three blocks down on the right.
From I-93 North or South
Merge onto I-495S via exit 44B. From I-495S, take exit 39 to Rte. 133W. Follow Rte. 133W for approximately 4 miles to Rte. 38N (Nesmith Street.) Turn right onto Rte. 38N and turn left at the next stoplight (E. Merrimack Street.) The theatre is three blocks down on the right.
From Rte. 3 and I-495 North
Get on the Lowell Connector (from Rte. 3, take exit 30A-B, from I-495N, take exit 35C). Take the Connector to the end, turn left onto Gorham Street, follow through 3 lights and continue straight onto Central Street. At Market Street light, bear right onto Prescott Street. At the next stoplight turn right onto E. Merrimack Street. The theatre is approximately 1/3 mile down on your left.
Commuter Rail
Visit MBTA for train schedules or to plan a customized itinerary. From Boston to Lowell’s Gallagher Terminal, take the Lowell Line from North Station. MRT is a short cab ride from the station, or use the Lowell Regional Transit Authority’s Downtown Circulator (Monday-Saturday). Visit LRTA for Lowell bus schedules. IMPORTANT: Trains and buses do not always leave Lowell before the end of a show. Feel free to call the Box Office at 978-654-4678 to find out when the show ends and check the MBTA and LRTA schedules!

Accessible Parking, Seating & Restrooms
Accessible Parking
The City of Lowell provides limited amounts of handicap parking spaces on Merrimack Street that are a short walk from the theatre. MRT’s Liberty Hall is accessible by a ramp located to the left of our entrance. There is a circular drop-off drive next to the ramp (pictured) where patrons can be dropped off at the building.
Accessible Seating
The front row of the orchestra can be accessed without using stairs. Wheelchair-accessible and companion seating is available in the front row of the orchestra section and can be purchased by notifying the Enterprise Bank Box Office when purchasing tickets. There is no elevator in MRT’s Liberty Hall and the balcony section of the theatre can only be accessed by using the stairs.
Accessible Restrooms
MRT has accessible restroom facilities.
Assistive Listening Devices
MRT is equipped with an FM hearing enhancement system. Wireless headphones are available to patrons at every performance. Please request listening devices, free of charge, through the box office upon your arrival.
Service Animals
Service animals that are trained to provide services or tasks for guests with disabilities are permitted.
Vision
There is no obstructed view in Liberty Hall unless otherwise noted. We provide large print programs at every production, and you can pick one up at the concessions bar.
Free Lot Parking
Immaculate Conception Church Lowell generously offers FREE parking to MRT patrons. Their lot is located directly next to Liberty Hall.

Parking may be limited during mass times: Saturdays at 4:00 PM and Sundays at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, and 12:00 PM.
Please note that during the Wednesday 2:00 PM performances, this location is unavailable for parking. We recommend parking at Lower Locks Parking Garage and walking through Middlesex Community College Campus to access the theatre.

Street/Accessible Parking
Metered street parking is available in the area. Please refer to the parking meter stations for specific hours and limitations. Event parking is occasionally in effect when there are large events at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. There are some handicap spots along East Merrimack Street. There is a circular drop-off zone next to the theatre. MRT is not responsible for parking tickets or tows.
Most of downtown Lowell’s great restaurants are within a five-minute walk of MRT. These restaurants actively support MRT—please support them!
MRT rarely cancels performances due to bad weather. However, if you feel that you are unable to safely attend because of weather, you can contact the Box Office (978-654-4678) to select a different performance with no exchange fee. If you exchange for a higher-priced performance or seat, an upgrade cost will apply.
In the rare event that a performance is cancelled, a notice will be posted on our website and Facebook page, and the Box Office will contact everyone with tickets to that performance.
