A message for a hundred years
I gazed up at the stars tonight
And selected one to view
The light that shined upon my eyes
Had turned my thoughts to you-
I sent a message to relay
A thought that holds me dear
Will return back to where you stand
In about an hundred years-
A grandson maybe, or maybe not
Or granddaughter you hold dear
Will come a night right to that place
In about an hundred years-
With wonder in their precious minds
Searching souls perhaps that day
To catch a glance at that same star
When the message comes that way-
And form an instant memory
From an unknown sense above
For one brief moment of all time
I will share to them my love-
