Spring is fighting back

Powerful frigid north winds

Sleet headlong driving-

Spring rains and biting north wind-

What Child is This

Old man winters wife-

Being overdue with child-

Last night delivered-

Spring Swim Double

Dipping touch of toes-

Wading diving swim shivers-

Thrashing breathless heart-

Cool upriver breezes-

Chilling bones frigid retreat-

To warm fires and friends-

Full Contact Foes

To all who suffer-

Disrupt in the good life path-

Ruining all moods –

Scientific fact-

That the opposites attack-

Bitter foils tact-

Fiendly arguing nothing-

Of dire this or that-

Torrents high wind rain-

Swells and troughs below chopped seas-

Face the stinging mist-

Spring Runoff

Days light grows steady

Thaws and rhythmic trickles drip

Converging creeks rise

To rivers flowing

Joining together crested

Darkened deep waters
