This Saturday - don`t miss @pointsoflightlowell!
From 5 to 10 pm, catch the best of Lowell`s arts and cultural community in the heart of the Acre.
Family friendly, free admission. Lanterns launch around 8pm, but the entertainment goes all night long.
The next Lowell Community Festival and Event Planners Resource Group will be Wednesday, May 6 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Hive Public Market (101 Paige Street).
This month’s session will focus on how event organizers can partner with local businesses when planning events. This may include businesses located within your event footprint, as well as opportunities to build event components in collaboration with nearby establishments.
We’ll be joined by several downtown business owners who will share examples of successful partnerships with event organizers, along with key considerations to keep in mind as you plan your upcoming events.
We hope to see you there!

🎉 Meet Bianca Mauro and Michael Roundy: individual arts’ creators and co-founders of the Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race!
Kinetic sculptures are engineered, wildly artistic, human-powered sculptures designed to travel over mud, sand, and water. Add “race” to the mix, and you have both the artist and their art put in motion—or better yet, put to the test!
We’ve caught up with both Bianca and Michael to learn how this typically West Coast and Mid-Atlantic Region competition came to Lowell, and how has hosting it in our mill city enriched its community.

Holy April, Earth Day happened already? Let`s hope that if you`re planning to rock the streets of Lowell this weekend, you don`t forget whose earth you`re standing on! (Hint: this one`s got a capital "E" in it—aaand it`s already been said.)
Last chance to see "A Khmer Swan Lake" by Angkor Dance Troupe this weekend! Since Cambodian New Year`s just about past, why not give one last farewell toward the stage? Direct all ticket purchases and inquiries to the Merrimack Repertory Theatre website.
