About Me

Welcome! I suppose if you've come to this part of my journal, you want to know a bit about me. I'm terribly sorry to have to tell you that I'm not really that interesting, but I'll try to put something here worth your time.

Chances are, if you're here, you know me through my writing. So I guess I'll talk a little about that. I've been writing for over twenty years, the vast majority of my life. I started when I was six years old and never stopped. I've been writing fanfiction since I was eleven, and sharing it publicly since I was twelve and discovered Pokemon (yes, yes, you're laughing, how lovely for you...shuddup). And I've been writing under the name Morgan O'Conner since I was fifteen. I write mostly fanfiction at the moment, although I do have about a thousand incomplete original stories saved to various places on my harddrive or penciled in notebooks scattered around my room. When I'm feeling particularly maudlin, I even dabble in poetry, but that's rare.

Other useless facts... I live in the U.S., in New England. Every winter I keep telling myself to move someplace warmer, and every Spring I get lazy, so chances are I'll be here for the rest of my life. I work in retail, which is just as terrible as everyone always says. I recently returned to community college (a truly terrifying prospect) for biology, and I'm hoping to transfer into a bachelor's program for wildlife and conservation biology soon.

About My Fandoms

My fandoms have fluctuated so much over the years, starting with Pokemon, which first set me down the path of fandom in general, and then Harry Potter, which introduced me to slash. Transformers, which got me writing again after several years. Supernatural, which not only sparked a deep and years-long obsession, but introduced me to so many aspects of fandom I'd never considered before. And it was really all downhill from there. Below is a list of all of my current fandoms and my main pairing for each. I've put them in alphabetical order by fandom, because my favorite changes from day to day and with my mood. I've also included only the fandoms here that I still indulge in regularly...if I were to include everything I've ever read or shipped in my life, the list would be pages and pages long, and rather scary-looking.

Random General Journal Stuff

This journal used to be almost solely used for various fandom-related posts, but in the past couple of years, it's become my go-to place whenever I need to vent, or want to squee, both about fandom and personal things. As such, almost everything is friends-locked, and I don't see that changing for a number of reasons. I do, however, enjoy making new friends, and you're always welcome to message me!
