Just got an email about a new News item on The Petulant Poetess. They very rarely ask for donations, but this is the message:

"We have nearly enough to renew the site for another two years, but not quite enough. Donate to headmistress@thepetulantpoetess.com now to keep the site going. Renewal is needed six days from now. Thank you."

The archives which have housed my beloved SSHG stories have dwindled over the years. I just can't think of a world without The Petulant Poetess  even though I don't have a lot of time to spend there lately. I've sent in my donation and really hope it helps! My most excellent sister-in-law has arrived like the cavalry to take care of Mom while I have a lovely, relaxing vacation in New York. God bless her!
We'll be seeing 14 shows in 9 days. Why, yes, we are insane. Nice of you to notice!

We're seeing CHINA DOLL with Al Pacino, GIN GAME with Cicely Tyson and James Earl Jones, AMERICAN IN PARIS, SOMETHING ROTTEN!, King Charles III, RIPCORD, SYLVIA with Matthew Broderick, DAMES AT SEA and many others. Fun, fun, fun!

My beloved dog, Rascal, has died of acute liver failure.

Sorry I disappeared yet again! Just when I think I have things figured out and recapture some ME time on LJ Real Life has other plans. I took on a new job working from home in May and that's been keeping me busy. Unfortunately, after a good summer, Mom has had several falls in September. No breaks, but some bad bruises and lots of aches and pains. She's going through another round of physical therapy and has gained a good bit of strength in the last three weeks, so maybe things will settle back down into some semblance of normalcy.Three ER runs in two weeks followed by lots of appointments and physical therapy sessions results in no free time for LJ fun!

So I celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who and then disappeared off the face of the Earth or at least the internet. The combination of my own health problems and my mom's falling several times led me to believe it would help if I spent less time online. No SSHG Quizzes, No Lovedraughts, no fanfic reading and very few comments left. Did it work? Hell, no! All it did was make me grumpier and grumpier. Like an idiot I pulled away from the support of my fabulous online friends and eliminated the incredible entertainment of the wonderful world of SSHG from my life.


WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!?!?


It's a new year shortly and I intend to return to my favorite places of LJ and the archives. Yep, that's my New Year's resolution - to have more fun and support and be supported by my online friends! The SSHG Quiz will be returning soon and Lovedraughts posts will begin thereafter. It may take a little while, but I'm looking forward to a bright, brand new year!
