I know, I know…it’s been awhile.  Too long, actually.  July got completely away from me, and I never found much time to play the Markhams’.  Writing wouldn’t have been a problem…if there were something to.write.about!  Anyways, got enough out of mini-play sesh’s to make an update.

Asher has noticed that he is losing some of his muscle definition…too many grilled  cheeses, and therefore he is on the treadmill.  This also allows him to be watching Madaleine.  He wants to be close by when Grimmie comes.

While Asher was on Grimmie watch, Ainsley turned Ashlynn into a toddler and helped her with her first steps.

Later that evening it was FINALLY SHOWTIME!  Madaleine suddenly couldn’t hold herself up anymore, and literally keeled over.

She knocked her head through the wall on the way down, and grim ruled it to be a blunt force trauma.  I know, his medical examiner skills are sorely lacking, but at least it gets the Markhams’ off the hook for murder.  Notice your first peek at Ashlynn without a hoodie on…totally not caring  that someone has died, or that a monster has shown up to take them away.

And of course, the moment we have been truly waiting forever for…Asher must talk to grim about grilled cheese.  He does…and now there is only one thing left to do…once he finishes building his rocketship.

Ashlynn noticed Grim on his way off their little island.  She had a brief chat with him, and then watched him walk off.

Ashlynn is very adorable, and loves talking to her daddy.  Daddy, of course, loves eating grilled cheese.

You’ll never guess who is on the rocketship?!  And guess what he has in his pocket?  Ooey, gooey grilled cheese.  Aspiration is now complete, and Asher is able to Summon Grilled Cheese and paint grilled cheese paintings.  Both of these things will be done in order to complete his goals.

Fall came to the islands, and that means Harvestfest.  The watcher has not experienced Harvestfest yet (what?!) but did enjoy gaining many seed packets.  Asher and Ainsley had much to be thankful for.  They had their love for each other and Ashlynn.  They were also sitting on a good chunk of money.  Asher brought up a topic of conversation that had been on his mind lately.  He told Ainsley that while he was COMPLETELY happy with her and their family, he couldn’t help but feel like he didn’t quite belong on the islands.  He knew that Ashlynn was going to be a great chef someday, and would need a great culinary knowledge in order to fulfill her dreams. 

Ainsley listened to husband, and gushed with love for him.  This man was an amazing father, and he only wanted to be able to offer Ashlynn the best opportunities.  She told him that she would live him anywhere and that they could start trying to find a house where he felt Ashlynn would thrive when she was older.

And apparently it wasn’t just going to be the three of them that needed to thrive, but more.  Ainsley is pregnant again.

In a little tiny hut…on the shores of Sulani…live a couple of roommates that decide they are going to start something beautiful.  They are going to be the founders of the master challenge!  A challenge that puts EVERYTHING into it.  Achievements and goal sets combine to make for an exciting way to play.  Let’s get a closer look at our founders!

Ainsley randomly rolled Set #3:  Patron of the Arts

1. 1. Get to Level 10 of the Painting Career (Patron of the Arts)
   2. Master Painting Skill
   3. Complete Painter Extraordinaire
   4. Decorate with at least 1 of each painting type (Classical, Impressionist, Pop Art, Surreal, Real,  Abstract)
   5. Decorate with at least 1 of each emotional painting (flirty, playful, confident, angry, focused, etc)
   6. Get a Deal from Agent at least 10 times

Asher Markham has rolled #61:  Grilled Cheese

1. 1. Unlock Grilled Cheese Aspiration
   2. Paint at least 5 different grilled cheese paintings
   3. Summon excellent grilled cheese more than 10 times

Sexy Asher wastes no time in getting into the swing of things.  Since he starts with the Master Chef aspiration, he is a good cook right off the bat.  He has unlocked the Grilled Cheese aspiration in no time flat.  At first glance, I thought this goal set was a little too small, however, the other two requirements can’t even happen until you have completed the aspiration.  If you haven’t looked in awhile, there are two obstacles in this aspiration:

1. 1. Eat grilled cheese in space
   2. Talk to Grim about Grilled Cheese

We will be addressing some of these issues in this lovely little update.

Since their little hut in Sulani only has one bed, it was time for Asher to put on the charm.  He thought Ainsley was beautiful, and couldn’t wait to be able to call her his.

What’s this?  She flirted back?!  Asher’s chest puffs out a little more with this heady knowledge.  He was used to getting ladies’ attention, but this lady wasn’t like all the rest.  He was going to have to up his game if he wanted to be with her.

What better way to do this than to show her the beauty that surrounded them.  He took her snorkeling, right off the back of their hut.

Afterwards, he let her shower and change first, and when she was done she planted a great big kiss on his lips to thank him for an amazing adventure.

There also isn’t much to do for fun in the hut, and one thing did lead to another…

But afterwards, instead of running off, as was done previously with other women, Asher asked Ainsley to go out and watch the stars with him.  He then asked her to be his girlfriend.

Ainsley said yes, and then swooned as  Asher began serenading her.  He was lost over this woman!

So lost in fact, that he took it a step further, and proposed.  He told her that it was love at first sight for him, and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.  Ainsley told Asher that she loved him too, but that she wanted to be further along in her career and have a little money before they got married and started having kids.

A few days were spent painting, eating grilled cheese, and getting to know one another.  Soon, Asher was at the third and final level of his aspiration, where both of the aforementioned hurdles existed.  He would have loved to go to Geek Con and gotten on one of their space shuttles with a plate of grilled cheese, however, Geek Con the very first festival that popped up, and he wasn’t ready to do it then.

Asher set out to work on his next hurdle, however.  In order to talk to grim about grilled cheese, he needed to lure grim to their hut.  And since he wouldn’t ever let anything happen to Ainsley, he had to find someone who was expendable.

Enter our little victim, Madeleine.  She has absolutely no idea what is going to become of her.

With Madeleine’s money, they are able to purchase a bigger hut, on a different beach of Sulani.

Asher was out fishing in their “backyard” when Ainsley dropped the biggest bomb of them all on him.  They were going to have a baby!

He was soo excited that he hurried into his formalwear, and talked Ainsley into doing the same.

He tipped up her chin and looked into her green eyes.

They said “I do” and kissed right there on the beach.  Asher promised to take care of her forever, though he didn’t even have a job.  Ainsley said that she would provide them with more than enough money from her paintings…he had something that money couldn’t buy.  Love and security.

A couple days passed….Ainsley continued to work on her paintings and on getting promotions, while Asher needed to workout…he definitely didn’t want to get a Dad Bod from all the grilled cheese.

It was time to enact the plan for Madeleine.  Asher told her how good Pufferfish Nigeri was from a stand in San Myshuno.  She went there and learned the recipe.  When she got back to the hut, her needs stopped being met, and she kept making the recipe…over and over again.

She had a plate of it with Asher, while he had grilled cheese.

She ate MANY plates of the stuff…and it WOULD.NOT.KILL.HER.

So Asher had to take matters into his own hands…he built a torture chamber and locked Madeleine in.  Now he just had to wait…downside:  her hunger bar is full from the damn pufferfish nigeri.

Ainsley finally went into labor…

And their beautiful daughter, Ashlynn was born.  When she grows up, she will have goal set #21:  Chef, should she staying in the house.

With Madeleine slowly wasting away (her hunger replenished part way through…maybe she had some food in her inventory), Asher decided to start work on his other problem…he needed a rocketship.  He did not want to wait another two weeks to finish his aspiration, because he didn’t know how long it would take to accomplish the other tasks he needed to do.

Ainsley was missing her husband, what with her career, and raising a baby…she needed to infuse some much needed romance into their lives…

Who knew that you could woohoo in the waterfall?

Before long it was time for Ashlynn to become a toddler.  At least she is independent.

So I dusted this off…it’s only been sitting on a shelf for literally a year!  So this chapter is a wee bit short since I’m just getting back into the swing of things.

In the House:

We will start by showing that all toddlers have their portraits taken thus far. 

Recap:  This is Brandie…not sure why I have this photo…oh wait, this is her paint from reference photo (maybe?)  Her child portrait was done so that’s what I’m going with.

A look at all the little monsters:  Braxton, Bryson, and Bernice. 

Bryson learning his thinking.  This is the hardest skill for me to max…I never seem to finish it.  All the rest of his skills are maxed…well maybe not the potty either.

Bernice is trying to finish thinking with her mama…don’t think she was successful either.  Mia is pregnant again.

Braxton aged into a child…this is definitely the paint from reference photo.  He did not get a birthday cake cause I was holding off on his birthday, trying to finish, you guessed it, his thinking skill!  His aspiration is the creative one.  He has the good trait.

Bryson’s birthday!  He is a genius who wants to be a social butterfly.  He is enrolled in drama club.

Bernice’s birthday.  She is a slob who wants to be a whiz kid.  She is enrolled in scouts, along with Brandie and Braxton.

And it’s time for more babies!

Meet boy #3 –Billy Prosper

Mia quickly became pregnant again.  We will be guaranteed a single birth, as this baby will fill the house up.

Bryson is practicing his acting.

Bernice is doing her homework. 

I know this is very boring…I’m still re-aquainting  myself to this family, as I haven’t touched them in a year.   Other things of note that happened this udpate is that Pia finished the computer whiz aspiration, and is now working on Nerd Brain.  Mia dug up the garden and will start a new one at a later date.  She is now working on writing, but will be painting a lot for house plumbob.

This is actually one time where I did not want to start over, but the Sim Gods decided it for me!  Read Looney Loons 2.0 to see what happened.

Windy feels like she has been here before…a little Groundhog Day for her.  The man isn’t the same though…it’s not bad, just different!  His name is Agustin Guzman, and he is selling Windy’s favorite adventure item…machetes!

Windy still can’t shake the feeling that she has done this before…and not too long ago, either.

Agustin is non-commital, but that doesn’t make him unflirty!

Windy asked him to go the local watering hole, where they shared their first kiss.

Agustin sure knows how to make the moves…I’m seriously trying to figure out if “Kiss neck” is from MCCC or is it in the actual game?  Wherever it’s from, Windy seems to like it!

Apparently, Windy has moves of her own.  She waited until after they woohoo’d to drop on one knee…

And she was rejected…he’s non-commital, remember?!

They had a chat about happened on the children’s bed in Windy’s rental.  Agustin let her know that he was in uncharted waters…he never cared for anyone this quickly before, but that meant he needed to take things a bit slow. 

Windy then went to take a pregnancy test (I must have risky woohoo on, cause I only chose woohoo, not Try for Baby).

Windy:  I know you wanted to take it slow, but we may have a situation going on down here!
Agustin:  Holy crap!  I’m gonna need a minute to process this!
Windy:  A human minute, or a sim minute?

While Agustin was wrapping his head around the recent events of his life, Windy decided to go on a little hike.  She was heavy in the green, and somehow felt like she didn’t want to take too many chances out here.  She didn’t venture far…just to the airplane wreck, when her cell phone went off.

It was Agustin asking if he could meet her back in town.  He told her that he wanted to do right by her, and would be there for her and the baby!

It was dark by the time Windy came out of the jungle, and so she met Agustin outside her rental.  After talking things through at length, Windy decided to try and propose one.more.time…

He.said.yes!!!  Windy went home early to get ready for her man, her wedding, and her baby!

She no sooner got home when she got a knock at her newly installed door.  It was Agustin!  He followed her home to Windenberg on the next flight out!

They decided not wait to get married. 

They stopped traffic in the street, a la Phoebe Buffet style!

With the money that Augustin brought in, they were able to build a little home for themselves.  Windy wanted it to feel homey for Agustin so he could adjust better to this new life.  He decided to take up painting, while Windy worked on her artifacts.  A garden has also been started outside, and Windy is the gardening career, while Agustin is in the painter career.

The two lovebirds were still in the process of “settling down” when Windy’s water broke!  There was no time to get her to the hospital…and besides she needed to do this at home.

And here we have baby Bernice…twins!  I was torn about the On Ley, Not the Lonely bonus, because they weren’t at home when they conceived, however, since I got twins, I’m not going to disqualify myself from the bonus. 

Welcome to the world’s shortest OWBC attempt…just giving a little foreshadowing!  BWAHAHA!  This is Windy Loon 2.0.  I guess I should explain why the 2.0…so here goes!

I wanted to make sure all the parts of the OWBC were playtested with 1.0, so I chose the bonuses that Teresa and her sister weren’t already doing (so I chose vampires, pets, and Jungle adventures).  But, I REALLY wanted to do Seasons, which Teresa’s sister was doing.  I thought I could power through doing the vamps, but I REALLY can’t.  I NEED to play with gardening and seasons!  So I now I present 2.0.  I am not, however, going to get into bonus details here, and you will see why soon enough.

I will say that one bonus is still Jungle Adventures, and so here we have the future spouse of Windy…he just doesn’t know it yet.

They get to know one another behind the food stall.

And they flirt on the patio of Windy’s rental.  I discovered that the more expensive rental on the east side of Selvadorada has a stove, which is important if you are doing the grilled cheese bonus, which we are.

Then, at the bar, they shared their first kiss.

The next day, Windy decided to venture into the jungle.  By the time she gets to the temple she is already in the red, with poisoning.  But she has to move forward, because she needs to get some bone dust.  Sometimes you get it by guessing the traps wrong, which is what is happening.

This trap, however, set her on fire and she couldn’t make it back to the water area of the temple on time…and thus dies Windy 2.0!
