So here she is with her newly purple hair, somewhere between 13 and 30. I love this girl. I have no idea what I did to deserve her, but I am so proud, y'all. Just wanted to share this fierce child with those of you who have actually watched her grow up.
In turn, I suggest we all give takayajd some love because GOD KNOWS this fandom could use some new lifeblood in it since so many have abandoned ship. I have tried, y'all, but I can't do ships where there's no epic...anything.

In other news, it is Friday and I am 10 days out from my trip to Maine. \o/ How are you all? Swallowed by new fandoms? Sweltering? Recovering from school? Waiting for vacation? I wish I didn't have to keep up with so many of you via Twitter. Twitter makes me tired, but I'm trying!

It's simply one of the best made vids I've ever seen. Great editing, great story of the overall tragedy of Arthur's story and Merlin's devotion and adoration of him, and a song that wasn't familiar to me. Combine all of those elements and it's just outstanding.
Free At Last Tonight, I'm finally feeling better after battling death cold for over a week, with a special interlude by codeine poisoning. I need a keeper, I really do. I finally begin to see what my friends keep husbands and boyfriends around for--in case they accidentally almost kill themselves while sick, or something.

It is cold this morning and the news stations have spent the last 24 hours getting everyone worked up over the slight chance of some snow flurries. No accumulation, just flurries in a mix of rain. Possibly. But not likely. This is a very frustrating thing about living in the South. The politics and the snow insanity.
We are in the last full week of classes. Both Monday and Tuesday of next week will be on a M/W/F schedule, so all the Tues/Thurs kids had some extra pep in their step this morning. My copier has joined LJ in the conspiracy to act up and I'm currently awaiting the repair dude's arrival with a replacement touch screen. He is a chipper little soul and I'm pretty sure he's either a hobbit or one of Santa's elves, moonlighting for some extra cash. I can't see his feet, so it's difficult to pin down which fantasy creature he is, really.
I think I have Celiac's disease. If so, a lot of symptoms would make sense that I've been suffering for the last year. I know it's a matter of having blood tests done, but I also know my doctor is a pain in the ass to deal with (I'm going to try and switch doctors in the new year) and I don't trust her to diagnose me properly, one way or the other. I hope it's not Celiac's, because I love bread and gluten has never been an enemy before but fuck all I have not felt well in a while, now. I keep losing weight even though I'm eating, my stomach stays in a state of uproar most of the time and I am always tired. I don't know if any of you suffer from it, but any insight on symptoms is appreciated. I can find a list of them anywhere, but people talking about their symptoms and how they found out are limited to boards and you have to crawl through someone's entire life experience to read about it.
Still enjoying Once Upon a Time. Still hanging with Merlin, even if I have no desire to speak of the episode that just passed. Looking forward to Rudolph tonight on TV. It has some of the best songs in it. I love the Island of Misfit Toys' song and There's Always Tomorrow. Silver and Gold, Have a Holly Jolly Christmas. These are all happy making songs. And could anyone really beat BI for narration? I think not.
Well, it's 8:30 and I'm ready for a nap. Also, there is zero chance this will actually post when I hit the button. Hope everyone's recovering from the holiday nicely and staying warm. Brr.

Our local radio station, Q100, has a morning show that likes to gather letters to soldiers every year to send them for Thanksgiving. Last year they collected 375,000 letters. This year they're trying for 400,000 and are falling dangerously short close to their deadline of next week. It's a one page letter, just a simple thank you for your service and well wishes for Thanksgiving. They're handwritten and can be mailed in bulk or alone by the end of next week. I Fail at September Wow, this has been the busiest month I've ever had at work. Today is the first time I've had a moment to think, now that we're momentarily between deadlines. I try to catch up on Twitter and LJ and FB at the end of the day, but bottom line is, I'm missing a lot of fannish fun and it makes me sad. :(
I'm also too tired to really talk to Saundra at night, so I feel like a fail friend.
This morning I was going to try to do a quick check of all the tumblrs that I only have bookmarked here at work, and the stupid IT guy came and parked himself in the desk behind me to work on someone's big, glamorous new Mac. No tumblr for me, then.

You can post a song lyric that you associate with them, or make graphics or a poem that makes you think of her, etc. And there are female characters from all over different fandoms. So even if you don't choose Gwen, there's someone there that you might be able to claim.

Today's agenda includes going to wallow around in Tumblr, creeping around Twitter and reading more stories. There are always more stories. \o/ This morning I read one that's some sort of college age AU and happily describes Charles as a cock slut and Erik as his long suffering BFF and I thought...I KNOW THIS AU FROM OTHER FANDOMS AND SO I SHALL READ IT. And it WAS ridiculously cute seeing Erik get Charles' drunk ass home, and also had this line: Drunken British ninja will be the death of me, he thinks. Oh, Erik. I love you always. But I love you MOST when you are so stupidly in love with Charles that you can hardly function with it.
Also, I have discovered that I can only read McAvoy/Fassbender RPF...if it's an AU. Which...is kind of groovy-mind-bending, since RPF is an AU of reality to begin with. So I'm reading an AU of an AU and it worked for me. I do wonder why the writer didn't just write it as an Erik/Charles AU, but whatever, whatever. There was sex against a window. I approve.
Hollywood needs to stop releasing clips of DH2. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANY MORE CLIPS. Stop trying to spoil every other scene in the movie, damn it. I refuse to watch any of them. Also, I have to wait until the Wednesday after the movie opens to see it, thanks to being out of town on the weekend it hits theaters. Meh! At least my sisters (that I've seen all the movies with) are willing to wait on me. They are good sisters. :D
