MoleBox is an application-packaging and virtualization tool for Windows that bundles your executable and all its dependent files—DLLs, assets, and configuration—into a single, portable file. At runtime, it transparently maps file and registry access to an internal container, so your app behaves as if everything is on disk without requiring installation. This simplifies deployment, reduces missing-file issues, and offers basic protection through compression and resource obfuscation.

Key features:

  • Single-file deployment of executables, libraries, and data
  • Transparent file-system and registry virtualization to a sandboxed container
  • Compression and optional encryption of embedded resources
  • Portable app creation without installers or admin rights
  • Customizable icon, metadata, and version information
  • Support for both GUI and command-line packing workflows
  • Filters and exclusions to fine-tune what gets bundled
  • Broad compatibility with common Windows desktop apps and many game engines

Common use cases:

  • Distributing games and tools with many assets
  • Creating portable editions for USB or offline environments
  • Shipping demos and trials without a full installer

Note: Application packers can trigger false positives in some antivirus tools. Code signing and vendor whitelisting can help minimize this.
