Workspace Summary
- Description
- A novel, multi-compartment computational model of the pulmonary acinus, integrating pneumatic, hemodynamic, and chemical transport dynamics. The model represents the acinus as parallel alveolar compartments and incorporates mechanisms such as hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction and pharmacological modulation. It allows for direct simulation of pathophysiological states by tuning parameters for airway obstruction, alveolar collapse, and gas exchange impairment.
