...and I'd like to ask for help for someone who desperately needs it.

My dear friend, el_esteleth, has just gotten the bad news that she needs massive dental reconstruction to fix damage done in her childhood that was never properly repaired.

She is looking at $6500 in out-of-pocket expenses, and having to make the choice between having the dental work done or paying for food and housing.

Those are pretty important things to have in your life, yes? So eerian_sadow has set up a Give Forward page for her, which is similar to a Kickstarter but for medical needs. Anything you can give would be wonderful, even if it's just words of encouragement and support.

She also has fibromyalgia, and those of you that have it, or have similar chronic pain, know how easy it is to get overwhelmed, which is how el_esteleth is feeling right now.

So, please, if you can, help repair Beth's teeth.

So, check your communities. LJ has decided to change comm settings AGAIN, and put into moderation any external links (such as, oh AO3, DW, fanfiction.net, you know, the USEFUL ones).

I've gone through all the comms I'm a maintainer for and changed the settings back to unmoderated, but if you have comms, please be checking those settings.

If you have any problems posting to a comm, please be kind and let the mods know. They may not, because this was a lovely sneak attack from LJ.

Guys, I did a fill for the kink meme.

I inspired antepathy, and she wrote her own fill for the prompt.

Hers was amazing. Mine has problems and I know it. Whoever is saying I'm upset please stop. I'm not. I love antepathy's fill and think she really took the idea to the next level.

Yes, some comments on her story were critical of my story, but there was nothing over the top and nothing that wasn't true. I am not going to hold antepathy responsible for what OTHER people say on her fic journal. That makes no sense, and if I'd had a problem with them, I would have PM'd them.

So, please, stop. You've upset antepathy and all I wanted to do was compliment her on her story, not cause a firestorm of wank.
