About Major League Cricket

Major League Cricket is a professional T20 cricket league in the United States, founded in 2023 by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) and sanctioned by USA Cricket. It operates as a single-entity league with 6 city-based franchises.

The MLC Story

The idea of a US cricket league wasn’t new. Pro Cricket lasted just one season in 2004. The American Premier League never played a single match. But MLC succeeded where others failed, backed by $120 million in Series A/A1 fundraising from investors like Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Ross Perot Jr., and several IPL franchise groups.

ACE secured ICC approval on April 13, 2023, making MLC the only ICC-sanctioned domestic T20 league in the US. The inaugural season drew 70,000+ fans to two venues in Texas and North Carolina.

Why MLC Matters

2028 LA Olympics: Cricket returns to the Olympics after 128 years. MLC is building the infrastructure and fan base to make the USA a legitimate cricket nation.
2024 T20 World Cup: The US co-hosted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. MLC venues and infrastructure were central to this effort.
IPL Connection: 4 of 6 MLC teams are owned by IPL franchise groups (MI, KKR, CSK, DC/GMR). This creates a direct talent and business pipeline between India and America.
Minor League Cricket: MLC also runs MiLC (Minor League Cricket), a 26-team developmental league that launched in 2021, creating a domestic cricket pyramid.
Infrastructure investment: ACE has invested over $150 million to date, targeting 10 international-standard cricket venues by 2030.

MLC 2026 Points Table

The MLC 2026 points table will be updated live as soon as the season gets underway, with standings refreshed after every match. Once league action begins, fans can track team rankings, points, wins, losses, and net run rate throughout the race to the playoffs.

5San Francisco Unicorns (SFU)312002-0.175
6Washington Freedom (WF)312002-1.462

Teams are ranked in the league stage based on Points (2 for a win, 1 for no result, 0 for a loss). If teams are tied on points, Net Run Rate (NRR) is used to determine standings.
