Hey guys it’s that time again, yup another rant journal.
Today’s topic?
Cosplay VS Real life / Cosplay VS Love
First I’ll start with Cosplay VS Real Life.
Okay so I cannot count how many times I have seen/heard of a friendship/relationships falling apart because of someone’s failure to tell the difference between cosplay and real life.
To be honest it’s really depressing that people can’t tell them apart.
They let it become such a big part in their lives that slowly it starts to push people away to the point of no return. They become obsessed with being better than everyone, and having the best cosplay anyone could ever have. They begin to take days off of work/school/or even blow off friends only to work on their cosplays.
This has happened between my friends and me as well. We all knew someone that let cosplay get to their head that it was all they ever wanted to do. They soon set out to become the best cosplayer there ever was (even if it meant to destroy friends to do it).
Over all Cosplay is a fun little hobby to take up, but that’s all it is a hobby, and nothing more.
It isn’t a job {unless you are like a model or something}, a life style, or anything other than a fun little pastime.
Also Cosplay is something to be enjoyed, and if you spend all your time trying to be the best, how can one truly take pleasure in it. You can’t. You will be so busy trying to get every slight detail right, that it will only end up stressing you out in the end.
You need to come to realize the fact that no matter what you do, and no matter how hard you try, there will always be people out there who are better then you. Perfection is impossible.
Well I have SO much more I could talk about on that topic, but I feel I covered the overall point of it.
So with that, it brings me to my next topic, Cosplay VS Love. { this one will be short}
Okay it seems a few people I know confuse Cosplay with love.
{One person stands out among the rest on this, however, I’m not saying names.}
You start to call your love only by the name of the person she/he cosplays. Only has them cosplay said person so you can get the thrill of you are dating that character, and not the person under it all. Or so you can do all the yaoi/yuri/het you want.
So over all they treat it like it only one giant fantasy to them, and just another cosplay moment.
To be honest that sickens me worse than the not knowing the difference between cosplay and real life.
You should by no means love someone just for their cosplays, and I’m starting to see more and more of this, and it really makes me what to slap that person silly until they see this.
If you can’t see a person for what is under the cosplay then you shouldn’t be with them at all! It’s that simple.
Face it you don’t love THEM you love their COSPLAY, there is a big difference and like I said people can’t see it.
So that wraps up this little rant here.
I’m sure there is SO much more I could say on both topics, but I’m drained and I’m going to head to bed now, seeing as I have a big day ahead of me.

i seem to keep forgetting I own this.... That and the fact i have no internet and have to use my friends computer when able doesn't help.

Also last Sunday I went up to San Antonio for Hetalia day. It was lots of fun!
I went as Germany, and I went with a England, Seychelles, Seland, and a Prussia. :)

This is something that has been brought to my attention.
A lot of you out there love yaoi.
Now just what are the types of ‘Love of yaoi’ out there?
Allow me to show you:
Fan A: “Oh I like that pic ^^ It’s cute~ *faves*”
Fan B: “OMG!!! LYK THE TWO GUYS ARE SO MAKING OUT!!! LOL *FAVESFAVESFAVES* AND OMG THEY ARE TOO!!! *rabid eye twitch/other bodily twitches* heh heh heh 8DDDDD”

Don't get me wrong there are some pairs out there I think are cute, and then there are others that don't make an ounce of sense to me.
That seems to be 95% of all yaoi pairs don’t fucking make sense, and seems like the only reason they are even in a pic together is because they both have a penis. >.>
Now I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure this is what goes on in a ‘Fan B’ mind when it comes to yaoi:

Let us take Axel and Marluxia shall we?
Marluxia HATED Axel. He found him annoying, and was only using him because he would blindly follow orders, and eliminate Vexen.
So naturally the pairing Axel and Marluxia would NEVER work… HOWEVER, I DARE you to try and tell Fan B that.
Telling a Fan B that their pairing is invalid, is like saying “Jacob is better than Edward” (btw Alucard pwns all kthxbai) you are just waiting for an all out war of the fans. (Trust me, I have seen this shit. It ain’t pretty)
Also, it seems I can’t go a convention anymore without hearing someone go “OMG! You cosplay so-and-so, and this person cosplays as so-and-so. They are like my all time fave yaoi pair!!! Can you guys like make out?” 8DDDD
One. No! I WILL not make out for you Fan B just because it would please you. D<
Maybe, just maybe, if you asked nicely and didn’t demand I stick my tongue down someone’s throat, I MAY do your little picture.
Two…. THINK OF THE COSPLAYERS! DDD:
PLEASE PEOPLE! I’m sorry to burst your bubble Fan B but not everyone likes yaoi, and not everyone is going to take pictures for you…. Just everyone is okay with doing yaoi with people they don’t know. Even if they do know them, some people aren’t okay with it.
