MIT Reality Hack - January 23-27, 2025

At Reality Hack for the last 5 years we been coming together to propel the potentials of spatial computing to extend reality and human potential. We do it by bringing together a diverse cast students, professionals, creatives, builders, do-ers, industry leaders, beginers, nerds and passionate people to make impact in the world by extended reality with experiential technology

Requirements

At Pencils Down, at 1 PM you must stop work on your project and have these submitted:

  • Your code on Codeberg/Github/Horizon World Link and put this link in your team page on realityhack.world in the field currently marked "Github".
  • Your 30s Sizzle Reel labeled with your Team Name submitted to: https://forms.gle/PsyaEFxaT9zhoticA

Your Devpost page must be created. You can edit your Devpost after Pencils Down, but should be finished by 8pm.

(We HIGHLY RECOMMEND to create a longer 1-2min video to properly document your project and to showcase for your personal portfolios and beyond! Your future boss or coworkers might see it!)

Your realityhack.world team profile must be updated with your team location (or else you won't be judged)

Special Pencils Down Instructions:

  • For Horizon Worlds Projects: The world must be set to "Public" and you must add "Reality Hack 2025" to your World Title so it's easily searchable by judges.
  • For RH Founders Lab, 30 minutes after Pencils Down: you must have a 30s product intro video and Google Slides pitch deck, submitted by Google Form (to come). The product intro video should be horizontal in 16:9.
  • For Moonshot Category of RH Founders Lab DEMO DAY - Open to ALL HACKERS, 30 minutes after Pencils Down: No pitch deck required. Just submit your 30s sizzle (the same video as the All Hack requirement above) and short Google Form here: https://forms.gle/VyPpew99473qaKzKA

Guidance on Video Submissions

Your 1-2 min video should showcase your project in a way that someone could understand what your project is trying to do without prior knowledge.

The 30s sizzle reel should be a quick and cool highlight of your project (so hot it sizzles ), if you're in the RH Founders Lab, this can be the same video. This will be used for final ceremonies, social media, and beyond. Its also great for using in the background while demonstrating to judge.

Selecting Track Entries for Judging

- Review tracks on the 2025 tracks page

- Select Tracks on RealityHack.world

Note that revisions to this page may be made up to Thursday, January 26 at 8:00 PM.
