"Mission: Bach - The Road to Inspiration" is the vision of cello soloist Jennifer Kloetzel, connecting the past and present through the power of music. Hear performances of Bach’s Cello Suites and new solo cello works, inspired by Bach, at California's iconic missions.
Celebrate music’s ability to inspire and bring people together. Jennifer Kloetzel will perform at (or near) each of the historic 21 California Missions, exploring music, art, culture and history. Journey with us on this "Pilgrimage of Sound."
Meet Cello Soloist

Mission: Bach - The Road to Inspiration was created by cello soloist, Jennifer Kloetzel in 2020.
Through Mission: Bach, her vision is to explore perhaps the most beloved repertoire for cello — the Six Suites for Solo Cello by J.S. Bach, commission new works for unaccompanied cello inspired by these Suites, and share the music with audiences from San Diego to Sonoma.
Performances (and accompanying workshops and outreach) will be presented at (or near) each of the 21 California Missions. Come hear echoes of the past and glimpses of the future, as we join Jennifer on a "Pilgrimage of Sound."
