Step-by-Step Process of E-Waste Recycling

Matrix specializes in e-waste management and disposal. Our process of e-waste recycling prioritizes environmental protection. It also seeks to prioritize proper handling, processing and managing environmentally hazardous substances that are present in the e-waste.

Shredding

Obsolete or end-of-life (EOL) IT assets are securely shredded or degaussed based on client specifications. These services are performed both on-site and off-site in collaboration with our trusted DSV partners, ensuring maximum data security and regulatory compliance.

Dismantling

Collected devices are carefully dismantled in our in-house facility, where each product is taken apart responsibly for further processing,to increase its end of life. This process is carried out under strict safety norms and environmental guidelines.

Sorting and Categorization

E-waste is sorted into different categories such as plastics, metals, glass, and hazardous materials.

Transportation

The collected e-waste is transported to recycling facilities for segregation & recycling of the material.

Final Disposal

Non-recyclable and residual waste is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Pre-Processing

Further separation of materials using techniques like magnetic separation, eddy current separation, and air classification.

Material Recovery

Valuable metals, alloys, and reusable materials are extracted from shredded and separated e-waste. This ensures maximum recovery with minimum environmental impact, carried out by us through our DSVs.

Plastics & Glass Recycling

Plastic and glass components are segregated and processed separately to ensure accurate identification and recycling. This step enables the production of reusable raw materials, completed both on-site and off – site at our DSV recycling plants.

Hazardous Material Handling

Safe disposal or recycling of hazardous materials like mercury, lead, and cadmium.

Refurbishment and Reuse

Some components and devices are safely refurbished so these can be reused.

Final Disposal

Non-recyclable and residual waste is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Documentation and Reporting

All records with complete details of the recycling process are maintained for the legal & future references.
