I'll never look at the bar in con hotels quite the same way after this.

"At which point he was suddenly pushed aside by a tall, cadaverish individual, in a smart tuxedo and a billowing black opera cape. His face was deathly pale, his eyes were a savage crimson, and his mouth was full of sharp teeth. He smelled of grave dirt. He pounded a corpse-pale fist on the bar and glared at Alex.

"'You! Giff me blut! Fresh blut!'

"Alex calmly picked up a nearby soda syphon and let the newcomer have it full in the face. He shrieked loudly as his face dissolved under the jet of water, and then he suddenly disappeared, his clothes and cloak slumping to the floor. A large black bat flapped around the bar. Everyone present took the opportunity to throw things at it, until it finally flapped away up the stairs. Alex put down the syphon.

"'Holy soda water,' he explained, to the somewhat startled Tate. 'I keep it handy for certain cocktails. Bloody vampires...that's the third we've had this week. Must be a convention on again.'"

So, on a joke, I was talking to my friends about how it would be funny to
cast a spell to turn the entire earth into a giant Hallow. Given that I
hold a bachelor's degree in mathematics, my curiosity was piqued and I
decided to perform the calculations. The Earth's volume is approximately
1.0832E+12
cubic kilometers. That is to say, 1.41595E+21 cubic yards, which is the
units used in volume affecting spells. Given that each success doubles the
affected volume, the number of successes needed to cast a spell on regular
area affecting rules is the base two log of 1.41595E+21 minus the base two
log of 5. This turns out to be roughly 70 successes. Given with a proper
rote or high gnosis, three successes can be garnished a turn easily, a
gnosis 3 mage could enact a spell that affects the entire globe in 23 hours,
and a gnosis 9 mage could enact such a spell in roughly TWENTY MINUTES. I
thought, hey cool! Then I thought, wait...forces five
radiation...baaaaaadd... So there's my report.

Bangkok, Oriental setting…

The International Insomniacs Association cordially welcomes all who are Awake to come and partake of their hospitality in a place most warm and welcoming: Bangkok, Thailand.

And the city don't know that the city is getting

After a bout of cold in frigid Austria, it’s time to spice things up with a city a little less elegant but a whole lot more fun.

The beautifully preserved Grand Palace and all of the outlying areas reek of her exotic culture; the Emerald Buddha and temples galore are redolent with piety and mystique by the light of day. Then, once the sun sets…

Well now, that’s another story.

Sultry heat, beautiful people, decadence and sensuality are the nom de jeu. Who knows what waits for the Awakened in the shadowed corners of this most debauched of cities…

One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble
Not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Bangkok and the tough guys tumble
Can't be too careful with your company
I can feel the devil walking next to me

For those of a more intellectual persuasion, there will be other attractions available. For those who live for abstraction, who aspire to strategic grace, Wizard’s Chess will be laid out and made ready. Bring your best, for even the mightiest of men can be laid low by one move on the chess board.

Come one, come all, and witness the splendor of beautiful Bangkok this coming weekend, February 24th through the 26th. Travel vouchers will be provided for those who are recognized by local Consilii or Cabals, as may become necessary. We look forward to continued attendance from old friends as well as new arrivals.

Yours,
The International Insomniacs Association

Cleaned my Friends list.

If I took you off, it doesn't mean that I don't love you anymore or I'm mad at you or anything like that; I'm perfectly willing and capable of expressing anything like that to people directly should it be necessary.

I just feel a good bit less like sharing my private life with others, so....trimmed the Friends list.

Hi everyone!

We've had some issues getting information to players and storytellers, mostly due to the questionable functionality of the WW servers and the lists they host. This has been regrettable, and I have no way of knowing who has gotten what information from what list at this time. Therefore, I'm going to give you the links to everything you may need to know that is out at this time.

*PLEASE* check these links for information before you ask questions; this will cut down on a lot of redundancy for everyone involved.

Please note that we've put a lot of things on the Camarilla LiveJournal, mostly because our own website is still being coded. These posts are UNLOCKED, meaning that they can be viewed at the link by anyone with internet acces, regardless of if they have a LiveJournal or use the Community.

There will also be an AAMST Staff Office Hours on IRC, plus a global-hosted Soft RP session and Character Gen session. Let the professionals help you with your sheet, meet and greet roleplay with PCs from the world over (and maybe a little plot for flavor), and have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues with the Awakening AAMST Staff. Char Gen begins at 7pm US EST, Soft RP at 8 pm US EST, Office Hours at 9 pm US EST. Go to #mage-ooc (no channel key) on Monday, November 28th.

Hi guys!

Please forward to other lists as you feel applicable. This post is to let players know what the end situation is so that they can make appropriate choices for themselves and their PCs.

THIS KIT MIGHT APPLY TO YOU EVEN IF YOUR PC IS CURRENTLY DEAD (so read it! hint hint, nudge nudge). :P

It's been a wonderful chronicle, an honor to ST for you guys as part of it, and I hope you all have had as much fun as I have! Thank you, very much.
