The Mi-Jack chassis Flipper and container changeout system allows intermodal drivers to conveniently remove containers without the use of specialized equipment or an equipment operator.
Efficient chassis flipping and container changeout innovation
Operating the Flipper is easy. After disengaging the twistlocks, the driver backs into the Flipper station, guided by a lighted, color-coded display. A solid red lightbar means the container is ready to lift. Once the driver puts the vehicle in ‘Park,’ the Flipper lifts the container. After the lightbar changes to green, it’s safe for the driver to leave the station.
When the driver is ready for pickup, the bare chassis is backed underneath the waiting container. A solid red lightbar indicates the chassis has been positioned correctly. Once the vehicle in put in ‘park,’ the container is lowered onto the chassis. A green lightbar indicates the trailer is ready to leave the station.

The Flipper’s strategically positioned lightbar can be read from the side mirror. This allows the driver to easily back the container into the correct position.
