At Method Agency LLC, we believe in human creativity, ethical marketing, and long-term author careers. As artificial intelligence continues to evolve and become more prevalent in the publishing and marketing landscape, we believe it’s important to be transparent about how we use AI, how we do not use AI, and what we expect from authors who work with us.

AI is a tool – not a replacement for human creativity, judgment, lived experience, or voice. Our approach is values driven, intentional, and grounded in respect for authors, readers, and the publishing ecosystem.

 

Our Core Beliefs About AI

  • AI can be a supportive tool, but it should never replace human creativity or lived experience
  • Authors’ voices, stories, and intellectual property matter
  • Ethical use of AI protects authors’ careers, platforms, and trust with readers
  • Transparency and human oversight are non-negotiable
  • We respect that every author has a different comfort level with AI, and its use in marketing is at the discretion of each author

What We Do Not Support

We do not work with authors who use generative AI to create their books and products. We also do not promote or market books that are fully or primarily AI-written.

What We Do Support

We are open to AI use as a tool, not a replacement for human creativity.

We see AI as an assistant, never as the author, strategist, or creative lead.

How We Use AI at Method

We use AI tools to help us work more efficiently, not to replace our thinking.

AI may support us in: Reviewing Data, Drafting Marketing copy (based on our human scripts), Brainstorming alternate angles (from our original ideas), and improving workflow efficiency.

When AI is used, it is only as a starting point; all final work is human-reviewed, human-refined, and human-led.

We do not use generative AI for:

  • Book creation
  • Video creation
  • Image generation
  • Music generation
  • Voice cloning or impersonation

Data Privacy & Confidentiality

  • Client data is never used to train public AI models
  • Sensitive business information is handled with confidentiality
  • When used, AI tools are used only to support strategy, not exploit data
