Meteo 3R brings together the official meteorology of the Italian north-west in a single application.
It offers the possibility of consulting forecasts, observed data and alert levels in Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta and Liguria.
The forecasts are developed and validated by expert meteorologists and not by automatic algorithms; also for this reason they arrive at the third day without going any further, when the reliability of the forecast drops significantly.
The data is real time, based on the largest public network of calibrated and regularly maintained weather stations: from temperature to the amount of rain fallen, from wind speed to humidity, the main weather parameters are reported in the application.
It is also possible to consult the radar, the most effective tool for following the movement of precipitation and storm cells as they are developing.
The alert levels are the official ones, issued for possible natural risks resulting from the weather conditions that could occur. Pay maximum attention to potentially dangerous situations, adopting the self-protection measures indicated by the Civil Protection.
The app can send a notification in the event of an alert or storm to the favorite municipalities you have set.
Meteo 3R was born from the collaboration of the 3 regions - Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta and Liguria - for 3 reasons - observe, predict and warn.
The application was developed by Arpa Piemonte in cooperation with the Functional Center of the Valle d'Aosta Region, the Functional Center of Arpa Liguria and the Functional Center of Arpa Piemonte, as part of the RISK-COM project, section WP4 "Awareness and resilience” and the RISK-ACT project, WP3 - Creation of a network of cross-border pilot sites, of the RISK THEMATIC Integrated Plan.
