Q&A

Welcome to Codidact Meta!

Showing reasons for mismatch between post and Vote summary page

+5
−0

Sometimes the number of votes on a post does not match the Vote Summary page on the user page. For example, at the time of writing the post Lone ones has 3 upvotes and 0 downvotes, but the Vote Summary page shows a total of 4 upvotes:

The top of the post showing voting buttons with +3 and -0

The Vote summary page showing +1 on Feb 28 and +3 on Mar 2

This may be due to a vote being retracted and then reapplied, or some other reason that I'm unaware of.

Should the Vote summary page show these reasons so that the two pages are consistent?

What should show on the Vote summary page when a vote from a previous day is retracted on a later day?
