About the ToBe Project
By bringing green growth and postgrowth initiatives together, Towards an economy for sustainable well-being: Integrated policies and transformative indicators (ToBe)aims to construct a novel growth paradigm that supports sustainable welfare states, producing wellbeing within planetary boundaries. Through a conceptual framework, meaningful indicators, we hope to identify innovative policy guides allowing stakeholders to assess policies multidimensionally.
About the SPES Project
The objective of the Sustainability Performances, Evidence and Scenarios (SPES) project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme, is to better understand the interconnections between economic growth, human flourishing, and sustainability. The ambition is to equip policymakers with information that will guide their strategies for achieving sustainable human development, using new evidence about past, present and future performances of the sustainability transition.
About the WISE Horizons Project
WISE stands for Wellbeing, Inclusion, Sustainability & the Economy. The WISE Horizons project seeks to facilitate and accelerate a systemic change in society by creating a framework based on the current post-growth narratives, policies, and initiatives. It will create a synthesis of WISE indicators – presented in a special database – and WISE models to transform modelling and policymaking.
About the REAL project
The project for a “A Post-Growth Deal” (REAL) is a collaboration between the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB) and the University of Lausanne (UNIL) with a €10 million grant from the European Research Council (ERC). The project will explore “how dramatic reductions in energy and resource use can be achieved, while at the same time ending poverty and ensuring decent lives for all”. It will propose new models of politics, policies and provisioning systems in a post-growth direction, and engage with questions of development in the global South.
