The Mentor Newark app was designed and developed to provide a safe, fun, and engaging place for mentees/students from the Newark Board of Education and their mentors to communicate with each other. Once your account is approved by an administrator, you will be matched with your mentee or mentor and your conversation will begin. On your main feed you will see conversations with your mentee/mentor and messages and content sent by your program administrators.
Mentees and mentors will have a chance to compete for weekly or monthly awards by simply sending messages to each other. The more you communicate, the more points you will earn. However, before awards are given out an administrator will check to make sure that real conversations are happening. If you are sending reptetitive messages you may be disqualified.
