Unexpected Opportunities

Sometimes we don’t know who we are going to encounter in this life. I have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know these ladies over the last few months. In Fall of 2022, we all completed Elizabeth Chappel’s Quilt Pattern Writing class. To say we learned a lot is an understatement. As we were finishing up the course, one of the members reached out to see if anyone would be interested in a collaboration. That’s where the rest of us came in.

Several Zoom meetings later, we decided on the Spring Tide Sampler. Each member would design a block and write the pattern for it. We then exchanged patterns and tested our partner’s pattern. What a fun experience. You really get to know a person when you work closely with them.

We decided to use Pure Solids from Art Gallery Fabric. Banana Cream, Nebula, Spruce, White Linen, Grapefruit, and Icy Mint all came together nicely for a beginner friendly quilt design ready for spring.

Different time zones and even different countries made planning and communication difficult. But we did it. We were even able to get sponsors in the US, the UK, and Canada to put kits together so the customer can make the same quilt we did. Plus, some other sponsors have given other prizes throughout the quilt along as well.. How generous.

It isn’t too late to sign up. It is absolutely FREE to join. You can do that here https://view.flodesk.com/pages/63c5d911ecc678190062587e

We hope you will join us Feb 10-March 17, 2023. It will be a great addition to your spring rotation of quilts. Or maybe your first one. We aren’t kidding when we say it is beginner friendly. See you for the Spring Tide Sampler!!
