At MedTech Barcelona, through its ReadyCell product line, we are committed to providing innovative pre-seeded plates that help biotech and pharmaceutical companies optimize drug development and ADME-Tox studies while reducing time and costs.
A key pillar in this innovation is the ReadyCell’s shipping Medium, a specially formulated semi-solid culture system designed to preserve cells at room temperature (15-25ºC) for extended periods. This medium creates an ideal physicochemical environment, maintaining moisture conditions for cellular homeostasis while acting as a protective cushion during long-distance shipping.

Our innovative Shipping Medium enables the delivery of pre-seeded, ready-to-use cell-based plates, eliminating the need for cell culture maintenance. Each plate arrives pre-loaded with cells in a semi-solid matrix, preserving their viability and functionality until ready for use.
Designed for 24- and 96-well formats and compatible with various plate types, including Transwell configurations, our plates offer reliable in vitro models for drug screening, transporter studies, neutralizing antibody (NAb) assays, and other preclinical and clinical cell-based assays.
In collaboration with our partners, our R&D team is developing new ready-to-use cell models and refining the shipping medium formulation. These efforts aim to extend preservation times and support a broader range of applications, including suspension cultures and novel cellular systems, such as 3D models and organoids.

Once the assay-ready plates arrive, simply liquefy the shipping medium at 37ºC, remove the gel, and replace it with fresh culture medium. This preserves the cells’ physiological properties. Finally, perform your assay.
