Got a question?
Fire Away!

Bringing this exciting new event concept to the United States, we’re sure you have questions about (M)EAT CARNIVAL and what makes it so unforgettable. We’ve answered the most common questions here, but if you’re curious about anything else, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.

Our Events & Food

Do we really eat with our hands?

Yes! That is part of this amazing primal experience. Don’t worry, we have many handwashing stations throughout and a towel to bring with you on your culinary adventure.

Are children allowed?

Meat Carnival is a strictly 21 and over event. All guests must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid government-issued photo ID for entry.

Because the event includes unlimited wine and alcoholic beverages throughout the experience, no one under 21 will be admitted, including infants or children accompanied by adults.

Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a safe and responsible environment for all guests.

What can I expect at the event?

At (M)EAT CARNIVAL, anticipate an outdoor setting with unlimited wine, approximately 8 chef stations offering 4-5 diverse dishes throughout the evening. Interact with chefs and fellow guests in a lively atmosphere. Seating is limited with minimal tables and chairs, ensuring a fun-filled experience. Come hungry as it’s an all-you-can-eat extravaganza! Guests will enjoy eating with their hands, and numerous handwashing stations are available throughout the event for convenience.

What is served?

We cook mostly over an open flame with a heavy focus on creating dishes around whatever the land provides. While we are meat-centric, there are lots of great vegetable dishes to accompany the meat dishes too. Our flavor profile beckons from the Mediterranean region.

Is there anything to eat there for vegetarians?

Absolutely!
We will do our best to accommodate most dietary restrictions. If it’s more intricate than Gluten Free or Vegetarian, please contact us directly at admin@meat-carnival.com for answers.

Why can’t I bring my own gloves or utensils to Meat Carnival?

We know it might seem cleaner, but in reality, gloves and personal utensils can create serious health risks if not used properly.

To follow health codes and prevent cross-contamination:

  • Gloves would need to be changed between every bite and every station.
  • Utensils would need to be washed between uses.
  • That’s just not practical in a fast-moving, hands-on food experience like Meat Carnival.

Instead, we provide multiple fresh handwashing stations so that we can keep everyone safe without slowing down the fun.

Come as you are, we’ll take care of the rest!

Is the water in the handwashing stations recycled?

EW! No, gross! Our handwashing stations are refilled daily with fresh water to keep things clean and safe. While it’s not drinking water (we use a hose to refill them), it’s perfectly safe for washing up. Just a friendly reminder: don’t drink it—we’re all about clean hands, not microplastics.

Location

What happens if it rains?

We will provide tenting or some sort of covering to keep the event going.

What should I wear?

Napa Carnivals are hosted outdoors. Bring a jacket for cool California evenings and comfortable shoes for walking on gravel and grass.

Tresure Island will be hosted outdoors as well and we anticipate cool temperatures. Dress appropriately!

Mare Island Carnivals are hosted indoors in a warehouse type setting so comfortable shoes are a must. Wear layers for cool evenings and items you are okay with being around fire and smoke.

For all Carnivals: We eat with our hands, so leave your fancy stuff at home.
