My LJ friends!
Interesting sites and tools on the web can really get us spread out all over the place. I'm certainly a sucker for trying new things. Anyway I'm all spread out. I have a website. And a LiveJournal. Tumblr. Posterous. StumbleUpon. And a WordPress blog. I don't like Facebook's format and don't use that except to read everyone elses' posts - everyone likes FB but me, it seems. And I do use it for gaming.
Well, we've had some financial setbacks just recently, prompting me to figure out where I can save money. My $5 for my webhost? Gonna go. I'm going to bring all my stuff over to my WordPress blog and point the domain there. It's just not feasible to pay over $60 a year for a site that I'm pretty much not using anymore. I'm sure there are links pointing to my downloads I host, but I won't be the first site who's moved their content.
It's been my intent to bring my stuff together all in one place for quite some time, but it never happens. Until now.
I've changed my web identity from Gankaku to LisaAkari. Akari is not my last name but it means "light" in Japanese; I thought that was cool; it has the same meaning as my real last name so it kind of fits. Meadowflower is an id I love and it was a secondary one I created for GoPets. i use it here and on Skype only. If you're on Skype and you like to add me, please do :)
So my main blog is lisaakari.wordpress.com. I'll try to set it up to copy posts here, and also will try to set it up to read your blog posts over there. I need to get it all set up in one place. Makes management of all of it easier.
