shadow me

Whenever I get a chance I hop in the car and take off, away from the city, usually listening to my latest playlists on the highway, forgetting all about the city hassles… this was a magic moment a couple of weeks ago… lake ontario near cobourg on… you can barely see the tiny little navigational beacon on the spit… appearing in earthpages’ new banner image (above) – via Tumblr

  1. Ah, getting away from the city is precious time indeed. Thankfully the hustle and bustle of my local regional Japanese cities can be counteracted by the tons of great little mystic mountain hideaways nestled within a couple of hours distance. So the country train network fulfills the same need for me. With the added bonus of being able to relax, enjoy the scenery and write along the way. Pure bliss!

    • I’ve almost always enjoyed buses and trains for much the same reasons… here and in India. Only didn’t like it maybe if they were too crowded. But then again, a good conversation with a stranger could sometimes be quite enlightening. I do miss that when I drive but… time is of the essence these days.
