Terry Laferte
CEO & Chairman of the Board
Terry has been a successful part of Master Care since May 1, 2008 when he and his wife, Laura, purchased a franchise from an associate looking to retire. Terry saw the Master Care business model, and the people within it, as a company that he could work with and grow. And that is exactly what they did. Effective July 1, 2017, Terry Laferte became Chairman and CEO of Master Care Janitorial and Facility Services Inc. Coming from a 28-year I.T. background, Terry is resolved to improving the systems within Master Care, making them ready for a desired expansion of Master Care boundaries and services. His ideas, projections and confidence in what Master Care can do brings a new excitement to all of us working with him.
Christine Peters
Controller
Christine brings decades of experience and deep institutional knowledge to Master Care, having grown with the company since 1996. Starting in an administrative role and advancing to Controller, she now oversees the company’s financial operations, including payroll, reporting, franchisee settlements, and overall financial management. As Treasurer on the Board of Directors and Company Security Officer, Christine plays a key role in governance, compliance, and strategic decision-making. Beyond the numbers, she is instrumental in implementing systems, supporting franchisees, and ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. Christine helps keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes while supporting long-term growth and operational excellence.
Teresa Liu
Accounts Payable
Teresa brings over 20 years of experience with Master Care and a deep understanding of our customer accounts and financial processes. Having spent two decades Accounts Managing and Accounts Receivable, she has recently transitioned into Accounts Payable, where her knowledge and dedication continue to be a tremendous asset. Known for her organization skills to keep things running smoothly, Teresa plays an important role in supporting both our team and our Associates. Her long-standing commitment and reliability make her a valued part of the Master Care team.
Rachel Exley
Business Development Manager
Rachel plays a key role in helping Master Care grow while keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She identifies new opportunities through bid boards, procurement channels, and industry connections, turning them into strong, value-driven proposals. Rachel also coordinates corporate marketing initiatives and events, helping strengthen the Master Care brand and create meaningful connections. As Corporate Secretary, Rachel supports board operations and keeps everything aligned and organized. Working closely with our Associates, Rachel provides guidance and support to help them succeed. Her strong understanding of facility operations and natural ability to connect with people help turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Mandy Douce
Mandy, alongside her husband Scott, has been proudly running their Master Care Janitorial franchise since 2014—but their connection to the business goes back even further. As second-generation owners, they’ve continued the family tradition of providing reliable, high-quality cleaning services across the Lower Mainland.
They take pride in building strong relationships with their clients and treating every space they clean like it’s their own. From busy offices to industrial facilities, Mandy and Scott are dedicated to creating clean, welcoming environments that help local businesses thrive.
Norbert Zieba
With over 30 years of experience in the commercial cleaning industry, Norbert Zieba is a seasoned professional known for his commitment to quality and client care. He began his journey with Master Care Janitorial in 2008 after successfully owning and operating a commercial carpet cleaning company for 15 years.
In 2010, Norbert was proudly named Master Care’s Franchisee of the Year, a testament to his dedication, integrity, and results-driven approach. Based in Nanaimo, Norbert has steadily expanded his operations and now proudly serves clients across Vancouver Island from Victoria to Campbell River.
Known for long-standing service relationships — including with a premier resort in Parksville — Norbert is trusted by property managers and business owners who value reliable, high-quality janitorial care. His focus on personalized service and building lasting partnerships is what sets him apart.
Karnail Rai
Since 2008 Karnail has owned and operated an award-winning Master Care Janitorial franchise that provides professional commercial cleaning services within the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and throughout the BC Interior, Okanagan and northern regions. He is passionate about the cleaning industry and has the knowledge and expertise of over 20 years to provide you with an accurate quotation that suits your needs – followed by exceptional service you can rely on.
Paramjeet Garcha
Working with Master Care since 2012, Paramjeet and his wife Kamaljit wanted to build their own business and became franchisees in 2013. Paramjeet has a strong background in floor care, carpet cleaning, window cleaning and pressure washing.
They take pride in building strong relationships with their clients and treating every space they clean like it’s their own. From busy offices to industrial facilities, Paramjeet & Kamaljit are dedicated to creating clean, welcoming environments that help local businesses thrive.
Barjinder Kular
Barjinder Kular is an Account Executive with Master Care Janitorial and a long-standing Franchise Owner since 2003. Together with his wife, Kamal, he has built a highly successful business with a strong focus on the hospitality and accommodation sectors.
Barjinder brings extensive experience in managing housekeeping and commercial cleaning operations, with a proven ability to lead and train teams, oversee service delivery, and maintain strong client relationships. His hands-on approach includes supervising cleaning contracts, managing staffing and work hours, and ensuring any service issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
With a solid background in sales, customer relations, and hospitality-focused service, Barjinder is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality results that meet the unique needs of each client.
Sandy Parmar
Sandy has owned and operated Master Care in the Fraser Valley since 2001, delivering consistent, high-quality cleaning services to businesses in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge, Hope and the surrounding areas. Sandy recently expanded her territory to Ontario and has brought on teams of commercial cleaning experts in Toronto, the GTA and the London/St. Thomas areas.
Vance Sova
Vance is a dedicated Account Executive with Master Care Janitorial and Facility Services and has been a Franchise Owner since 1999. With over 36 years of experience in account management, building maintenance, and customer service, his approach is grounded in building strong relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored janitorial solutions that support operational excellence.
Since opening his Master Care franchise in 1999, Vance has built and supported a growing portfolio of satisfied clients. He is known for his hands-on involvement, ensuring services are delivered as promised, and that every contract is managed with care and attention to detail. From accurate, no-obligation quoting to ongoing inspections and quality control, Vance is committed to consistency and reliability at every stage.
