The Clean and Resilient Marina Program is a voluntary program that encourages marina operators and recreational boaters to protect coastal water quality by engaging in environmentally sound operating and maintenance procedures. While similar marina programs vary from state to state, all programs offer information, guidance and technical assistance to marina operators, local governments and recreational boaters on best management practices (BMPs) that can be used to prevent and reduce pollution. Marinas that participate in the Clean and Resilient Marina Program are recognized for their environmental stewardship.

Participating marinas receive a weatherproof Clean and Resilient Marina flag to fly at their facility and authorization to use the Clean and Resilient Marina Program logo on company publications. In addition to working with marinas, the program encourages the state's boaters to learn about and use clean boating techniques when operating and maintaining their boats.
