I am 46 years old, the mother of an 18-year-old son, and I was married for 10+1 years. I was officially divorced on July 27, 2005, after over a year of negotiating the settlement. Thus the "+1" year on the marriage tally. Now I'm dating a wonderful guy, have a great kid, and a great life. Don't hate me because I'm a happy bluebird :D I was born in Alabama. People here sometimes have a hard time believing it because of the way I speak. But anywhere north or west of the Mason-Dixon line, I am pegged for Scarlett O'Hara every time I open my mouth. I have always been able to draw. Some years ago, I illustrated a guide to Alabama ferns, some 80 or 90 drawings that appeared in multiple issues of a scientific journal. I have also done a guide to benthic organisms (creatures that spend part of their lives in freshwater) that is still being used in an exhibit at the local museum. I also mess around a lot with manipulating images. I make all of my own icons, and can probably tell you just about anything you want to know about GIMP. We have a 12-year-old miniature schnauzer named Lizzie that we've had since she was 6 weeks old, and a 9-year-old ex-racing greyhound named Violet that we adopted in December of 2006. Doofuses, both of them. I'm in recovery from many years of depression. I've been under treatment for it since December of 2003, and I feel better than I have since I was a kid. Tom Cruise can bite me. |
