Autodesk MAP—commonly known as AutoCAD Map 3D—is Autodesk’s GIS and mapping software built on the AutoCAD platform. It enables planners, engineers, and GIS professionals to create, edit, and manage spatial data within a familiar CAD environment. The software supports robust coordinate systems and projections, direct connections to common geospatial formats and services (such as DWG, SHP, SQLite, raster imagery, and WMS/WFS), and tools for topology, parcel management, and geospatial analysis including buffers, overlays, and attribute queries.

Users can stylize and theme maps, validate and annotate assets, and produce professional map layouts for printing or digital publishing. By integrating CAD design with GIS context, Autodesk Map streamlines infrastructure, land management, utilities, and transportation workflows, helping teams make better, data‑driven decisions. It runs on Windows and is available through Autodesk subscription, with capabilities that interoperate with other Autodesk AEC products, including Civil 3D and the AEC Collection.
