Where We Started

Our roots started as an upscale restaurant, but as that came to a close Mangia Catering was born. With the foundation and understanding of quality food and service Mangia Catering started bringing high quality food and service to the greater Spokane and Coeur d'alene catering and event scene in 2011.

Mangia Today

Mangia is more than a caterer—we are a hospitality and event partner serving the Spokane, Washington and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho region. From intimate gatherings to events of 1,000+ guests, we combine elevated cuisine, strategic planning, and seamless execution to create experiences that feel effortless for our clients and memorable for their guests.

With a seasoned team and scalable infrastructure, Mangia confidently delivers multiple events at once while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

We are expanding our role as a hospitality partner—working closely with leading venues, planners, and producers across Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, while becoming a trusted resource for venue management, event design, and comprehensive event planning.

  • Tim Mitchell - Chef Founder | Luxury Event Planner

    Tim brings a wealth of knowledge to the wedding and event industry from his 15+ years of hands on experience. Tim started Mangia Catering out of his home kitchen and has grown it into the reputable catering and event company it is today. Tim serves as a Board Member of the International Caterers Association and continues to look forward to give back to the industry, build relationships with his team, clients, and colleagues. His favorite part of events is seeing all of the details come to life. Tim's proudest achievements in life are his faith in Jesus, and the honor to be a husband to his wife Erica, and a father to his four children. Email Tim

  • Joshua Mitchell - Sales Director | Event Producer

    Josh brings over 15 years of leadership and business development experience to the Mangia team, with a strong focus on relationship-building, sales growth, and event production. With a background that spans from corporate strategy to boots-on-the-ground execution, Josh is passionate about connecting with clients and crafting event solutions that exceed expectations and drive results. Since joining Mangia, Josh has focused on building out scalable sales systems, deepening community partnerships, and championing a high-performing culture rooted in creativity, accountability, and hustle. His favorite part of the job is helping clients bring their vision to life—whether that’s a dream wedding or a high-stakes corporate event—while making the process feel seamless and even fun. Josh’s proudest accomplishments are his faith, his role as a husband to his incredible wife Gisela, and the opportunity to help lead a company that puts people first in everything it does.     Michael leads Mangia’s culinary department with a calm confidence and a fierce commitment to quality. As Kitchen Maestro, he oversees daily operations, supports the culinary team, and ensures every dish reflects Mangia’s high standards—whether it’s a scratch-made lunch for 20 or a wedding feast for 200. With a deep love for handcrafted pasta and a knack for building efficient systems, Michael balances creativity with consistency to keep the kitchen humming. Outside of work, you’ll find him fishing the Northwest’s rivers or enjoying slow weekends with his wife and two kids. Email Michael

  • Jessa Jones - Creative Director

    Jessa has 9 years of knowledge and experience in the design industry beginning with her attendance and graduation from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, CA. Her background lies in event design, wedding planning, e-commerce fashion and graphic design. In her latest creative venture she opened her own custom backdrop design & event rental company. With the skills learned through her own company, she is currently the creative director and implementor of all things design for Mangia and the launch of Mangia’s new design branch. She resides in sunny Phoenix, AZ with her husband and 4 year old daughter, Josie. When she’s not designing you can find her soaking up sunshine by the pool, attending a group fitness class, or loving on her family. Email Jessa
