I got in, I got in!
You are the parent of a a child between the ages of 7 and 11 and you do not live in an area with year round school. Congratulations, your kid loves to read and really wants to participate in your local library's Summer Reading Program.
While the library isn't exactly on your way (and it isn't in walking distance) do you make an effort to take your child at least once a week so they can redeem their points for cool prizes?
Do you instead offer to take your kid once a month and take them to dinner or do some type of family outing of their choice if they hit their reading goal.
Do you do something else?
Do you think the prizes detract from the actual point of summer reading, which is continuing education so children's reading levels don't drop over the summer?
Bonus: Summer Reading Programs for adults, totally cool or just for weirdos?

Hey Guys,
On our way home Michael and I found a sweet gray cat, I've called the humane society and left a voice mail to see if anyone reported her lost. I'm also posting a message on craigslist as well as petfinder.us.
Any other ideas on where I can post about finding her? She's sweet but we can't keep her.

Have you ever met anyone famous?
It's amazing that hearing a song on the radio can totally make your day.
Savage Garden's I Want You (also known as the Chica Cherry Cola song) played this morning and I sang along and was happy.

What are you allergic to?
That's one of those things that people don't seem to get?
I'm allergic to the active ingredient in Robitussin. So no robotripping for me :(
I picked up my diploma from school today!
It's Stephen King's birthday! Who is your favorite character from one of his books?
Eddie Dean, no question. He was a junkie from Brooklyn who transformed into a brave, loving man. Who made awful, awful jokes.
