Err, it's only been two months since my last entry. Go me! I blame tumblr and my thesis and Emily leaving Criminal Minds and life. Also Swan Queen, that ship has completely taken over my fangirl life, dammit. The summer 2012 project? A Swan Queen ship manifesto. Oh, yes.

Anyway, as I said many, many moons ago, I do want to finish recapping Season 7 of Criminal Minds, because a) I'm a perfectionist, and b) Emily motherfucking Prentiss. Slowly does it~

So, apart from being completely obsessed with Lana Parrilla (seriously, the things I watch for that woman) and Swan Queen at the moment, the summer's surprise ship is totally Charlize Theron (who's a total freak & a spazz and I love it) and Kristen Stewart. The press tour for Snow White and the Huntsman is THE GAYEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.



Yeah, I don't even know. Except that I SHIP IT.

Well, it's certainly been a while! I blame work, uni, tumblr and more work. Life's been so damn hectic that I didn't even have the time to recap the previous Criminal Minds episode. So, here it is, in all its glory.

That being said, this week's episode was just...want-to-shoot-myself-to-the-leg bad. The plot was ridiculously obvious, and the faint attempt to make the case "fascinating" failed miserably. It didn't help that everyone could tell who the unsub was 50 seconds into the episode.

Oh, what a waste of space that episode was. And given the spoilers regarding the season finale, I'm not really lookinf forward to the upcoming episodes. Shame.

We had a new Criminal Minds episode this week, and in the words of kayryn, thank God Paget is leaving this sinking shit ship. The following pretty much sums up all my thoughts:

So yeah, Swan Queen (aka the most epic ship to come about in a while) has very efficiently taken over my entire fangirly life and I do not mind. I'm convinced the only way the curse can be broken is if Regina falls in love with Emma, because Emma is the saviour. IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE. *tinhatting*

Anyway, in case someone hasn't seen the recent threatre production of 8: A Play about the Fight for Marriage Equality yet, you should watch it, stat. It's awesome, star-studded, and awesome.

Okay, Criminal Minds just utterly frustrates me nowadays. Not only have the cases been particularly what-the-fuck lately, but the episodes are so full of missed opportunities that I want to scream. Last night's episode was especially depressing in that respect.

Damn, this show. So many contradicting feelings! And, once again, I didn't even mention the case in the recap, which says a lot about the quality. I really, truly hope we'll get to see something amazing in the remaining episodes of the season; Emily's character deserves that.

So, as most of you already know, Paget is finally leaving Criminal Minds. While I am certainly bummed--my favourite TV character ever, EVER--I completely understand her decision. CBS treated her (and A.J., and Rachel Nichols) like shit, and I hope she'll go on to do a job in which the people in charge actually appreciate her. Paget, go back to comedy; "Coffee should be drinking me!"

Speaking of Criminal Minds, it was another mediocre episode this week, but it was all worth it for JJ's butchiness alone. Although the show has lost the spark it once had, I will, in all likelihood, keep on watching anyway, because this new JJ is the best thing that's happened to our favourite crime drama in years.

So, it seems like the 7th season will remain the last one of the Criminal Minds seasons I recap. Although I'll probably keep on watching for JJ, the show hasn't really wowed me in a while, and once Emily's gone, I don't see the point of doing these. Also, LJ is pretty much dying as fandom moves to tumblr (my posting has been sporadic at best), so that makes this decision a whole lot easier as well. But yes, I'm a perfectionist, so the remaining Season 7 episodes will be recapped.

Madrid was magical. Just the way I remembered it. The week went by entirely too fast, while sipping frappuchinos and eating desayunos andaluces. ♥ Also, La Oreja de van Gogh. La Oreja de van Gogh! Like I said, magical.

So anyway. It took over a week, but I finally found time to concoct something resembling a recap of last week's Criminal Minds. Not that there's much to say, really, apart from, "Paget's comedy timing still PWNS!" And that JJ is still the hottest thing.

Is it just me, or were the Golden Globes particularly boring this year? Although many of my favourites won, the speeches were just totally 'meh'. Disappointment!

So, Criminal Minds is back from the Christmas break, and Emily & JJ keep on avoiding each other. It's like a conspiracy, although this week, JJ does eye Emily in a fairly peculiar manner. It's not all in my head, I swear!

Well, that could've been worse. Next week's recap will be a little late, because I WILL BE IN MADRID, Y'ALL. That probably means the episode will be the most femslashiest one ever, though.
